Social Media Manager (022-808)
Looking for Filipino (Philippines-based) candidates
Job Role: Social Media Manager
Full Time: Independent Contractor
Salary Budget: Full-Time: $1500 - $2500
Work Schedule: Availability during AU business hours (approx. 9 AM – 5 PM, Monday to Friday) is preferred for collaboration, with flexibility in how you manage your time as a contractor.
Who We Are: At Hunt St we help Australian companies directly hire top 5% remote talent in the Philippines. You will be hired directly by the client, typically as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home.
Who The Client Is: A biotech startup dedicated to improving quality of life by decoding your biological data to provide personalised supplement, nutrition and lifestyle recommendations. With strong backgrounds in biochemistry, molecular biology and data sciences, the founders and directors recognised the power of nutrition in improving health outcomes and the importance of tailoring strategies to individual needs.
The company was founded to address the challenges individuals face in accessing and interpreting health data. By combining cutting-edge microbiome and metabolic testing with personalised analysis and recommendations it offers integrated, science-backed at-home tests and subscription programs that are convenient, affordable, and accessible. By undertaking sequential testing over a 12 month period, customers can use the insights provided as a forecasting tool to help identify the possible onset of chronic disease and the steps required to mitigate it.
Role Overview: We are seeking a vibrant, analytically minded, and AI-savvy Social Media Manager to take full ownership of the client's social media presence across all relevant channels. This is not a scheduling-only role. We are looking for someone who can interrogate social data, identify trends using AI and the various tools provided, develop content strategy, supporting channel and posting tactics, and connect social activity to eCommerce conversions. You will work closely with the client's analytics manager to identify cross-channel opportunities and brief and manage the in-house designer to develop content streams and assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the full content and posting calendar across all active social media channels
- Identify and proactively propose new channel opportunities best suited to the brand's target audiences.
- Interrogate social environment data using reporting and analytics tools to inform channel strategy, content ideation, trend identification, and engagement tactics.
- Develop and maintain content territories across all channels, ensuring consistency of voice and brand identity.
- Collaborate with the analytics manager to identify cross-channel growth and conversion opportunities.
- Brief and manage the in-house designer to develop content streams, creative assets, and campaign materials.
- Monitor channel performance and produce regular reports with clear, actionable insights.
- Leverage AI tools to improve content ideation, production efficiency, and performance analysis.
- Stay ahead of platform algorithm changes, emerging channels, and industry trends — particularly in health, wellness and adjacent sectors.
- Support eCommerce conversion goals through strategic social media activity and audience nurturing.
Requirements
Essential
- A vibrant, curious and confident lateral thinker.
- Proven experience as a Social Media Manager, ideally in eCommerce, health and wellness, or a complementary sector.
- Strong analytical capability: able to interrogate social data and translate insights into strategy and channel and content decisions.
- Proficiency with social media reporting and analytics tools (e.g. Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics or similar).
- Experience managing multi-channel social media strategies across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest or YouTube using automation (e.g. ManyChat, Later and AI models).
- Confident using AI tools to support content ideation, copywriting, and workflow efficiency.
- Strong written English with an ability to adapt tone and voice across different platforms and audiences.
- Highly organised with strong project management skills — able to manage a content calendar and multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
- Experience briefing and working with creative or design teams.
Desirable
- Background in health, wellness, beauty, fitness or a complementary consumer sector.
- Experience linking social media activity to eCommerce conversions and reporting on revenue impact.
- Familiarity with content performance benchmarking and A/B testing.
- Experience identifying and launching on emerging social platforms.

This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.
To ensure alignment and transparency, successful candidates will be expected to:
- Disclose any existing ongoing roles or client work.
- Reflect this engagement on their LinkedIn profile (clearly marked as “Independent Contractor”).
