Position Summary:
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced R&D environment to help develop, validate, and scale electrocatalysts for Voya’s proprietary metal-air fuel cell.
Responsibilities:
Develop improved electrolytes to improve the power and minimize corrosion for Voya’s metal-air fuel cells.
Identify structure-property relationships and translate to improved electrolyte designs.
Design analytical tests and methods to identify mechanisms to feed understanding back into the electrolyte experimental designs.
Work with Voya’s engineering and production teams to scale and demonstrate new electrolytes from lab to pilot and production-intent systems.
Qualifications:
Proven ability to invent and advance novel chemistries from concept to validation, preferably in energy storage/generation applications.
Experience with the development of electrolytes for electrochemical systems (e.g. fuel cells, batteries, electrolyzers).
Ability to operate in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
Results-oriented with a strong sense urgency.
