This candidate will support initiatives focused on designing, developing, and delivering AI-enabled solutions that help business partners solve operational problems faster, improve workflows, reduce manual effort, and accelerate decision-making. The role will support AI solution prototyping, workflow automation, application modernization, internal productivity improvements, and scalable technology solutions aligned to business priorities.
This role will manage and provide technical leadership for two scrum teams, each with 3 software engineers, for a total of 6 software engineers. The candidate will work closely with these engineers and partner cross-functionally with product owners, scrum masters/project managers, business stakeholders, architecture, security, data, and operations partners as needed. The role is expected to guide solution design, mentor engineers, support delivery execution, and help the teams rapidly design, develop, and deliver AI-enabled solutions aligned to business priorities.
Responsibilities for this position?
Design, develop, test, and deploy AI-enabled software solutions that improve business workflows and operational efficiency.
Rapidly prototype and iterate on AI-based solutions using enterprise-approved AI tools, no-code/low-code platforms, and advanced development platforms.
Partner with business stakeholders to understand needs, identify AI integration opportunities, and translate business problems into scalable technical solutions.
Build and integrate applications, APIs, automation workflows, and reusable components that support enterprise technology standards.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to other software engineers through design reviews, code reviews, mentoring, and delivery support.
Evaluate emerging AI capabilities and determine practical use cases that improve productivity, quality, customer service, revenue enablement, or IOI.
Ensure solutions meet enterprise requirements for security, reliability, maintainability, quality, and production readiness.
Troubleshoot issues, support deployments, and improve existing applications or workflows as business needs evolve.
Collaborate with product, operations, data, security, architecture, and engineering teams to ensure successful delivery and adoption.
Maintain strong documentation for solution design, implementation decisions, support processes, and operational handoff.
The ideal candidate has senior-level software engineering experience in a large enterprise environment, preferably within healthcare, managed care, insurance, customer service operations, or another regulated industry. The candidate should have experience delivering production-ready applications, leading technical design, partnering directly with business stakeholders, and applying AI or automation to solve practical business problems. A strong candidate will be comfortable working independently, mentoring other engineers, and moving quickly from business problem definition to prototype and production delivery.
Skills/attributes are required?
7+ years of software engineering experience designing, developing, testing, and deploying scalable enterprise applications.
3+ years of experience leading technical design, solution architecture, or senior-level engineering delivery.
2+ years of experience designing or delivering AI-enabled, automation-based, or workflow improvement solutions.
Experience with modern application development, API integration, secure coding practices, and production support.
Experience using enterprise-approved AI or developer productivity tools, such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft 365 Copilot, or similar GenAI platforms.
Strong ability to translate ambiguous business needs into clear technical requirements and working solutions.
Strong communication, stakeholder partnership, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment while balancing speed, quality, risk, security, and maintainability.
Skills/attributes are preferred?
Healthcare, payer, provider, insurance, customer service, claims, clinical, pharmacy, or regulated industry experience.
Hands-on experience with GenAI, intelligent automation, no-code/low-code platforms, or advanced AI development platforms.
Experience rapidly prototyping AI-based solutions and converting prototypes into scalable production applications.
Experience mentoring or managing software engineers.
Experience with cloud platforms, DevOps practices, CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and enterprise security standards.
Ability to identify high-value business use cases and quantify impact through productivity, quality, customer service, revenue, or IOI improvements.
Pay:
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $120,000 - $140,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus for the current performance period.

As a full-time employee of the company or as an hourly employee working more than 30 hours per week, you will be eligible to participate in the health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans in accordance with the plan documents, which may be amended from time to time. You will be eligible for benefits on the first day of employment with the Company. In addition, you are eligible to participate in the Company 401(k) Plan after 30 days of employment, in accordance with the applicable plan terms. The Company provides for 11 paid holidays and 12 weeks of Parental Leave. We also follow a “free time” PTO policy, allowing you the flexibility to take time needed for either sick time or vacation.
