General Summary:

Key Responsibilities

1\. Electrical Infrastructure & Power Management

· Manage HT/LT electrical systems, transformers, switchgear, UPS systems, generators, power monitoring systems, and critical infrastructure.

· Perform power load assessments for new business requirements and expansion projects.

· Monitor electrical reliability, power quality, and system availability through centralized BMS.

· Implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.

· Conduct energy audits and identify improvement opportunities.

· Develop SOP and Standardization for every activities.

· Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for major electrical incidents and outages.

2\. Engineering Design & Project Management

· Lead electrical engineering design reviews for office expansions, fit-outs, renovations, laboratories, data centers, and workplace infrastructure projects.

· Prepare and validate electrical load calculations, power distribution schemes, UPS requirements, DG integration, and redundancy planning.

· Review and approve MEP drawings, layouts, specifications, and engineering submissions.

· Ensure compliance with NBC, BIS, IEC, ECBC, LEED and local statutory requirements.

· Coordinate with consultants, contractors, landlords, and project teams throughout project lifecycle.

· Drive engineering innovation and standardization across facilities.

3\. Compliance, Audit & Risk Management

· Ensure compliance with:

o Indian Electricity Rules

o National Building Code (NBC)

o Fire & Life Safety Standards

o Environmental Regulations

o Occupational Health & Safety Requirements

o Corporate Engineering Standards

· Manage statutory inspections, audits, certifications, and regulatory approvals.

· Maintain documentation, SOPs, permits and compliance records.

· Develop and monitor corrective action plans arising from audits and inspections.

4\. Sustainability & Environmental Stewardship

· Lead sustainability initiatives aligned with organizational ESG objectives.

· Develop energy reduction roadmaps and carbon footprint reduction strategies.

· Drive programmes related to:

o Energy efficiency

o Water conservation

o Waste reduction

o Circular economy practices

o Renewable energy integration

· Promote Reduce, Reuse and Recycle initiatives.

· Track and report sustainability KPIs and environmental performance metrics. ---

5\. Workplace Safety & Business Continuity

· Lead workplace safety programmes and engineering risk assessments.

· Ensure compliance with fire safety, electrical safety and emergency preparedness requirements.

· Support Emergency Response Team (ERT) programs and mock drills.

· Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments.

· Develop engineering controls to eliminate unsafe conditions.

· Drive a proactive safety culture throughout facility operations

6\. Operational Excellence & Reliability

· Establish best-in-class facility management practices.

· Develop KPIs, dashboards and performance reporting mechanisms.

· Enhance equipment uptime, reliability and operational efficiency.

· Lead continuous improvement projects using:

o Lean

o Six Sigma

o TPM

o Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM)

· Standardize maintenance processes and engineering procedures.

· Manage vendor performance through measurable SLAs and KPIs.

7\. Cost Optimization & Budget Management

· Prepare and manage engineering operating budgets and capital expenditure plans.

· Identify cost saving opportunities without compromising safety or service quality.

· Optimize:

o Utility consumption

o Maintenance expenses

o Service contracts

o Asset lifecycle costs

o Capital investments

· Deliver measurable annual cost savings and operational efficiencies.

8\. Digital Transformation, AI & Machine Learning

· Lead smart facility initiatives using digital technologies.

· Deploy AI and ML solutions to:

o Predict equipment failures

o Optimize energy consumption

o Improve space utilization

o Automate maintenance scheduling

o Reduce utility costs

o Improve workplace experience

· Develop intelligent dashboards and automated reporting systems.

· Leverage IoT and Building Management Systems (BMS) for data-driven decision-making.

· Drive innovation through predictive analytics and smart building technologies. ---

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of Facilities Engineering or related work experience. OR Associate's degree and 5+ years of Facilities Engineering or related work experience.

*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.

Education

· Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering /Power System.

Experience

· 10–15+ years of experience in engineering in Property and facilities management.

· Experience supporting corporate campuses, R&D facilities, technology workplaces or critical infrastructure environments.

· Hands-on experience managing large-scale engineering projects and facility operations.
