Benefit Technology Assistant – Employee Benefits

Hybrid | San Antonio, TX area

We’re seeking a Benefit Technology Assistant who will make a meaningful impact by supporting benefits technology administration, client platform builds, enrollment accuracy, and a high-touch experience for both clients and employees.

This role supports the Employee Benefits Health and Welfare Employee Navigator team by helping ensure the benefits administration platform is built, maintained, and updated accurately for clients. The Benefit Technology Assistant will assist with client builds and renewals, document management, enrollment audits, reporting, and issue resolution to support optimal client satisfaction and ease of use.

Employee Navigator is an HR technology platform that can integrate with insurance carriers, payroll companies, and insurance brokers. The platform is designed to help clients manage the complexity of employee benefits and HR, including benefits administration, onboarding, and related processes.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do / Your Impact

 

Required

  • Motivated problem solver with the ability to accurately document, communicate, and follow through on issues.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel.
  • High level of productivity, reliability, responsibility, attendance, dependability, organization, and accuracy.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for supporting web-based applications.
  • Passion for teamwork, client service, and achieving business results through problem solving.
  • Reliable transportation for travel within the San Antonio, TX area.

Preferred

  • Experience with benefits administration, insurance, payroll, or HR technology platforms.
  • Experience using Employee Navigator or similar benefits administration systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret benefits data, enrollment information, and discrepancy reports.

  • Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage documents, platform updates, reports, and client requests.
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking to identify discrepancies, troubleshoot issues, and support timely resolution.

  • Collaborative mindset to work effectively with internal teams, carriers, vendors, and client contacts.

Qualifications

What You Bring

 

Required

  • 2+ years of experience in Employee Benefits, HR, or related consulting environment

  • Strong client service skills and experience managing multiple accounts or client programs

  • Knowledge of benefits programs, compliance requirements, and industry best practices

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred

  • Experience with benefits technology platforms (Workday, ADP, etc.)

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret benefits data

  • Professional certifications such as CEBS, PHR, or SHRM

Core Competencies

  • Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple initiatives

  • Problem-solving and critical thinking to navigate complex benefits issues

  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and manage client expectations

  • Collaborative mindset to work with cross-functional teams

Licensure & Certifications (If Applicable)
