Supervisor - Structures
The opportunity
Big projects need strong leaders.
We're looking for a Senior Site Supervisor - Structural to join our Logan Water team, taking the lead on major structural construction works including reinforced concrete structures, formwork and steel fixing activities across a long-term capital works program.
You'll be the person keeping crews aligned, subcontractors performing and projects moving. Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers and Supervisors, you'll drive safe, efficient delivery while mentoring the next generation of site leaders.
This isn't a role for someone who wants to sit behind a desk. It's for someone who enjoys being on site, solving problems, making decisions and seeing major infrastructure take shape.
What you'll do
- Lead structural construction works from planning through to completion
- Manage site supervisors, subcontractors and multiple work fronts
- Drive quality, safety and environmental outcomes across projects
- Support construction planning, methodologies and project scheduling
- Build capability within your teams through coaching and mentorship
- Maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders and delivery partners
- Champion continuous improvement and consistency across the program
What we offer
- Permanent opportunity within a growth industry that is continuously expanding and evolving.
- Work on major infrastructure projects that directly support local communities.
- Suite of Downer benefits, including health and wellness initiatives.
- Join an organisation that truly values and practices flexible working options and has a demonstrated focus on diversity and inclusion.
- Be part of a high-performing team delivering some of Southeast Queensland's most important water infrastructure projects.
What we're looking for
- Strong experience delivering structural construction projects within water, wastewater or major civil infrastructure
- Proven leadership experience managing supervisors, subcontractors and site teams
- Background in reinforced concrete, formwork and steel fixing works
- Strong understanding of project scheduling, quality and construction methodologies
- Ability to build relationships and drive performance across diverse teams
- A safety-first mindset with a passion for developing people and delivering results
