The Systems Engineering Integrated Systems department is seeking a MENA Global Patriot Country Staff Engineer with strong technical expertise and engineering leadership skills to support the design and development of world-class Air and Missile Defense Systems. The Staff Engineer will work directly with the MENA Country Chief Engineer and the Systems Engineering CPT Lead to develop and maintain all country capability roadmaps, system analyses, concept development, requirements development, hardware and software design, integration thread development, and system performance activities, including integration, testing, and sustainment planning. This role will involve regular interface with customers from the United States Government (USG) and partner governments across the MENA region.

The selected candidate will be part of the Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) strategic business unit.

What You Will Do

  • Ensure technical integrity and engineering execution across all Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Cross Product Teams (CPTs), and engineering disciplines, ensuring alignment with cost, schedule, and technical requirements.

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for senior customer technical counterparts, as well as internal senior program management and engineering leadership.

  • Brief internal and external customers on technical status.

  • Expedite technical resolution of customer RFIs and reach-back support requests.

  • Review and contribute to program plans and capability roadmaps.

  • Provide and own technical inputs for business development and capture activities.

  • Provide technical advisory support and dispositions for Export/Import (EXIM) compliance.

  • Support approximately 10% domestic and international travel.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.

  • Experience with one or more of the following engineering activities: system analysis, concept development, requirements development, hardware and software design, integration thread development, and system performance activities, including integration, testing, and sustainment planning.

​​Qualifications We Prefer

  • Existing DoD Secret Clearance and direct experience with Patriot or similar radar program system design, development, integration/verification, production, and sustainment.

  • Demonstrated industry experience in strategic development, customer interface, and contract capture within the Defense sector.

  • Hands-on experience with International FMS programs and engineering execution with international suppliers and partners.

  • Direct experience with Army Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) Systems of Systems, including concepts of operations development and system-level architecture design.

  • Proven experience in Engineering Risks and Opportunities (R&O) management.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
