Provide strong, business-critical legal advisory by delivering strategic counsel and end-to-end legal support across all business functions, ensuring robust corporate governance, effective management of licensing frameworks, and full regulatory compliance. The role proactively drives and strengthens legal risk management through disciplined contract standardization, decisive stakeholder management, and rigorous regulatory monitoring while serving as a core pillar in ensuring the effectiveness and reliability of the Legal function:
- Deliver comprehensive legal advisory and strategic counsel aligned with the Company’s objectives, regulatory requirements, and the strategic direction set by the Head of Legal.
- Drive end-to-end legal support across core business functions, providing high-impact advisory and contractual oversight while actively leading legal involvement in cross-functional initiatives and complex business challenges, including: Operations (Claim, NBUW, Customer Care), Health, Product (Product Concept Paper, Policy Contracts, and product T&Cs), Distribution Channels (Agency, Partnership Distribution, Corporate Business, Digital Marketing), Finance & Reinsurance, Investments, HR & Corporate Services, Customer & Marketing, and all day-to-day commercial/operational agreements.
- Oversee and ensure legal integrity of corporate governance documents with regards to the Company’s Articles of Association, Power of Attorney issued by the Board of Directors, and all relevant corporate actions, in strict compliance with applicable laws and regulatory standards.
- Own and maintain full compliance of the Company’s licensing and permits framework, including proactive management and updates across Online Single Submission (OSS), PSE (Komdigi), Investment Activity Report (LKPM - BKPM) and National Land Agency/BPN (e-Hak Tanggungan), mitigating regulatory risks.
- Enforce governance and control within the Legal function by responsible for annual reviews of Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring all contract review processes and legal actions are fully aligned with internal policies, Group Legal standards, and Group Governance Manual.
- Act as a key operational pillar of the Legal function, directly supporting the Head of Legal and Chief Legal & Government Relations Officer in delivering timely, high-quality legal services and finalization of legal documentation.
- Proactively monitor and interpret regulatory developments which related to Legal, working closely with Compliance to assess impact, conduct gap analyses, and drive necessary remediation to ensure full legal and regulatory alignment across the Company.
- Continuously enhance the Company’s legal contract framework, including periodic review, standardization, and strengthening of contract templates to improve risk management and operational efficiency.
- Manage and direct external legal stakeholders, including external counsel and public notaries; ensuring quality, timeliness, and cost-effective delivery of legal support.
- Served as custodian of corporate documents, ensuring robust governance in the safekeeping, management, and retrieval of executed agreements in compliance with SOP Pengarsipan Dokumen Perusahaan.
- Conducting legal research and delivering structured trainings (including CBT and internal sessions) and drive legal capability building across the organization, on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters in collaboration with PRUUniversity
- Supervise talent development of apprenticeship program.
- Coordinate and integrate legal support for Sharia business, working closely with the PSLA Legal team to ensure compliance and alignment between the Company’s approach and applicable Sharia and regulatory requirements.
