This role leads the business intelligence, management routines and strategic planning agenda for Digital Banking, Consumer Deposits and U.S. Payments. Responsible for building and operationalizing insight-driven capabilities that connect data, analytics, performance management, competitive intelligence and executive decision support across the portfolio. This role translates business intelligence into actionable strategies, operating plans and performance measures that drive growth, efficiency, customer value, risk management and disciplined execution across digital, deposits and payments priorities. Partners across Product, Finance, Risk, Technology, Operations and Enterprise Data and Analytics to ensure decision-making is grounded in trusted insights and aligned to enterprise priorities.
Depth & Scope:
Provides people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as required
Leads the Business Intelligence agenda for Digital Banking, Consumer Deposits and U.S. Payments, establishing the insights, reporting, analytics and management routines required to inform executive decisions
Defines the vision, roadmap and strategy for business intelligence, management and strategic planning across Digital Banking, Consumer Deposits and U.S. Payments
Builds and governs performance measurement frameworks, executive dashboards, scorecards and key business reviews that connect portfolio performance to strategic priorities
Translates data, customer insights, market trends, competitive intelligence and financial analysis into actionable recommendations for growth, efficiency and risk management
Partners with Enterprise Data and Analytics, Technology, Finance, Risk, Product and Operations to strengthen data quality, reporting consistency, analytical capability and insight adoption
Oversees strategic planning processes, business cases, operating plans and initiative prioritization across digital, deposits and payments priorities
Identifies portfolio trends, emerging risks, business opportunities and performance gaps, and drives leadership alignment on actions required to improve outcomes
Leads management routines that provide transparency into customer growth, digital engagement, deposit performance, payments volume, revenue, expense discipline, operational execution and control effectiveness
Develops business intelligence capabilities that simplify decision-making, reduce fragmented reporting and improve the speed and quality of leadership insights
Ensures solutions fulfill business objectives and requirements, align with enterprise strategies, and consider business process, data governance, risk and organizational change impacts
Effectively identifies and manages stakeholder engagement and impacts across the enterprise
Supports continued growth and performance across Digital Banking, Consumer Deposits and U.S. Payments by designing and implementing insight-led strategies, revenue generating opportunities and efficiency improvements
Understands various operating models and data-driven best practices to improve communication, prioritization and execution across business lines and enterprise partners
Leads a team of professionals responsible for recurring business intelligence routines, strategic analysis, management reporting and execution support for approved portfolio priorities
Identifies and drives operational improvement initiatives to reduce expenses or realign resources, improving portfolio efficiency and business line profitability
Partners with multiple stakeholders across business lines, shared services and control groups to identify, prioritize and execute initiatives
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree or progressive work experience in addition to experience below
15+ years of related experience required
In-depth knowledge of digital banking, consumer deposits, U.S. payments, business intelligence, financial services operations and related legal, risk and regulatory considerations
Demonstrated experience developing and leading business intelligence, analytics, executive reporting, strategic planning, performance management or decision-support capabilities
Highly organized, with demonstrated ability to develop, analyze, improve and apply complex policies, processes, reporting routines and procedures
Ability to handle high-profile, high-pressure assignments with high growth potential, assimilating multiple business lines and cultures with many different business partners with ability to respond quickly to changing requirements and priorities
Management skills, with ability to coach, train and motivate staff effectively
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to translate complex data and insights into clear executive-level recommendations
Ability to apply consultative relationship management and influencing skills across all levels with organizational prowess and work effectively with a broad range of stakeholders
