Job Summary
Battery storage, solar, and grid projects live and die on getting power equipment on site when the schedule says so—and the transformer is one of the longest poles in the tent, often quoted two years out. Fluxco turns a developer's spec into competitive bids from 100+ global OEMs in days, then manages the project end to end. One partner, full accountability, the shortest lead time in the market. Energy developers move fast, build in portfolios, and put the transformer squarely on the critical path to energization and interconnection. Win one project on schedule certainty and you're positioned to win the next five in their pipeline. This is a foundational seat. You'll sit across from developers, owners, and their EPCs as Fluxco's commercial lead in the segment, turn single project wins into standing equipment partnerships, and write the playbook the team scales with. You know how energy projects get financed, designed, and built—and where a missed delivery date turns one upside down. That knowledge is the seat.
Core Responsibilities
- Own the full sales cycle with energy and infrastructure developers—battery storage, solar, renewables, and grid projects—from prospecting through negotiation and close.
- Sell as the primary commercial interface across developers, owners, and their EPCs, translating Fluxco's lead-time advantage into energization and interconnection dates hit on schedule.
- Navigate long, milestone-driven project cycles without letting momentum stall between funding, design, and procurement.
- Drive each deal with applications engineering and the OEM/supply team from RFQ to competitive bids to signed PO, and stay accountable to the customer through delivery.
- Turn single project wins into portfolio-level relationships—standing equipment partnerships across a developer's roadmap.
- Build the energy and infrastructure playbook—target developers, repeatable motion, reference stories—and feed pricing, positioning, and product signals to the executive team.
- Track milestone-driven deals with the discipline long cycles demand: current stages, owners, and dates on every open opportunity.
Requirements
- Experience: 7+ years in enterprise B2B sales—electrical infrastructure, power or capital equipment, selling into energy developers, IPPs, or infrastructure funds. Storage, solar, or renewables experience is a strong plus. A consistent record of meeting or beating quota.
- Developer & EPC fluency: You understand how energy projects get financed, designed, and built, how developers and their EPCs make equipment decisions, and where a transformer's lead time can make or break an energization date.
- Technical credibility: Fluent enough in transformers, switchgear, and power distribution to hold a real conversation with engineers and procurement.
- Network: Standing relationships with developers, IPPs, or the EPC ecosystem around them that shorten our path into real projects.
- Travel: Up to 25–30% for customer meetings, project site visits, and key industry events.
