Remote$254k–$330kPosted Jul 24, 2026

At Counterpart Health, we are transforming healthcare by building technology that clinicians actually love to use. Our flagship platform, Counterpart Assistant, is a cloud-based, value-based care enablement AI platform designed to empower primary care providers to detect, manage, and prevent chronic diseases earlier. We believe that better technology supporting PCPs at the point of care leads to better clinician experiences and better patient outcomes.

We are seeking a Medical Director of Clinical Product to serve as a clinical voice and provider advocate within our product organization.

In this role, you won't just be advising from the sidelines; you will be a key partner and guiding force for cross-functional teams across Product, Engineering, and Design. Drawing on deep, real-world primary care experience, you will help shape how our software integrates into the daily rhythms of busy practice environments. You will ensure our technology solves real clinical pain points for primary care providers, driving clinical care outcomes that enhance the patient-provider relationship.

As a Medical Director, Clinical Product, you will:

  • Lead Clinical Product Development: Serve as a key clinical voice across cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Design, Analytics), ensuring every feature built reflects the reality of everyday practice and drives clinical utility.
  • Translate Clinical Reality to Product Design: Bridge the gap between clinical practice and software development. Translate complex care workflows, documentation needs, and value-based care levers into clear, actionable clinical requirements.
  • Be the Voice of our Clinician Users: Work alongside user research and analytics to synthesize provider feedback, champion the end-user experience, and hold product teams accountable to high standards of clinical usability and safety.
  • Drive Quality & Pre-Launch Standards: Establish pre-launch clinical QA standards and validation processes to guarantee that new platform tools are intuitive, safe, and efficient before they reach clinicians.
  • Monitor Industry Trends: Stay ahead of emerging technologies and evolving practices in primary care and value-based care to identify unmet user needs and future product opportunities.

Success in this role looks like:

  • Uncompromising Clinical Voice: Cross-functional teams actively look to you for clear clinical direction, trusted clinical insight, and clear prioritization of provider needs.
  • Adding to a Seamless Cross-Functional Alignment: A collaborative, high-execution environment where clinical, product, and engineering teams operate with shared clarity and mutual accountability.

You should get in touch if:

  • Clinical Degree: Active MD or DO with board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a related primary care field.
  • 10+ Years of Primary Care Practice: At least 10 years of direct patient care experience in primary care settings, with strong preference given to deep experience in community-based practice settings.
  • Health Tech Integration: Proven track record (3+ years) participating in health technology product, integration, EHR optimization, or clinical informatics within a practice setting.
  • Clinical Leadership: Demonstrated capability to command respect, lead cross-functional discussions, and guide non-clinical teams toward sound clinical decisions.
  • Execution & Accountability: A decisive, execution-focused mindset with the ability to set high performance standards and hold cross-functional partners accountable.

Preferred:

  • Value-Based Care Expertise: Deep familiarity with value-based care workflows, risk adjustment, quality metrics (HEDIS/Stars), and care management levers in primary care.
  • Product Collaboration: Prior experience partnering directly with product management, UX designers, and software engineers in a healthtech or digital health environment.

Additionally, we offer a performance-based bonus program, 401k matching, and regular compensation reviews to recognize and reward exceptional contributions.
