JOB TITLE: Senior Project Manager JOB FUNCTION: Senior IT Project Management
Role Overview
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading large, complex IT projects and programs that help achieve onsemi's business goals. This person works closely with business leaders, IT teams, vendors, and executive management to ensure projects are delivered successfully, on time, within budget, and with the expected business value.
This role is both a project leader and a trusted advisor who helps teams solve problems, manage risks, and drive successful outcomes across multiple initiatives.
What You Will Be Expected To Do:
Project Leadership & Delivery
- Manage one or more large, complex projects from start to finish.
- Define project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource needs.
- Ensure projects support business and IT strategic objectives.
- Keep projects on track and deliver expected results.
- Ensure projects follow the IT Tollgate methodology and governance processes.
- Step into projects that may be behind schedule, over budget, or struggling; quickly assess issues and develop recovery plans. Lead teams through corrective actions to achieve successful outcomes.
Stakeholder & Team Management
- Build strong relationships with project sponsors, cross functional teams, and IT leadership.
- Direct internal and external resources, including business, IT, and vendor partners.
- Serve as the liaison between business stakeholders and IT delivery teams.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define goals, schedules, and strategic alignment.
Manage Project Financials
- Build and maintain project budgets.
- Track project costs and forecast spending.
- Identify and communicate project benefits and expected return on investment (ROI).
- Ensure project spending remains aligned with approved budgets.
Manage Risks, Issues, and Changes
- Proactively identify project risks before they become problems.
- Develop mitigation and contingency plans.
- Escalate issues appropriately when leadership involvement is needed.
- Manage changes to project scope, schedule, or budget through established processes.
Leadership & Coaching
- Mentor junior project managers and guide teams in best practice project management.
- Advocate for IT PMO methodologies, standards, and training.
- Demonstrate proactive, positive, and influential leadership aligned with company values.

Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a seasoned project management professional who:
- Has significant experience leading enterprise-level IT projects.

- Is comfortable working with executives and senior leadership.
- Can lead global, cross-functional teams.
- Is skilled in both traditional project management and Agile/Scrum practices.
- Thinks strategically while remaining focused on execution and results.
- Can successfully recover troubled projects and drive them to completion.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of project management experience in a global or multinational organization, including enterprise scale initiatives.
- Proficiency in Waterfall, Agile, or Hybrid methodologies.
- Strong track record of delivering projects to management expectations.
- Understanding of key business processes (finance, operations, supply chain, etc.).
- Proficiency with PM tools such as MS Project, MS Planner, Jira, or similar systems.
- Preferred certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum, or equivalent.
