Senior Accountant (Maternity cover)

As a Senior Accountant (Maternity cover) with Convera based in our Vilnius office, you will collaborate as part of a Financial reporting team, and provide key support across the team. This is a hybrid work model (onsite 2-3 times per week), working hours Monday to Friday, 9 am – 6 pm. 

Please note: For this position, we are unable to provide visa sponsorship now or in the future. Candidates must already have legal right to work in the country they apply to and be able to start and maintain employment without visa support from Convera.

You will be responsible for: 

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with local GAAP and regulatory requirements 
• Analyze financial and accounting data, investigate variances, and provide meaningful insights to management and stakeholders
• Review balance sheet and profit & loss accounts to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial reporting
• Coordinate and support period end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting deliverables
• Participate in the implementation and improvement of financial reporting processes, controls, and reporting standards
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, finance teams, and business partners across different jurisdictions

You should apply if you have:

• 3-5 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or statutory reporting 
• Strong understanding of financial statement preparation and experience working with one or more local GAAP frameworks
• Experience analyzing financial data and identifying trends, risks, and reporting issues
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and a good command of English
• Experience working in an international environment and across multiple countries would be an advantage
• ACCA qualification or progress towards ACCA would be considered a strong advantage
