A Snapshot
As a Site Security Manager reporting directly to the Building Services Manager you will work closely with the rest of the Operations team, making your mark in a number of ways:
- Supervise the security and soft services aspects of the data centre facility operations for assigned properties
- Manage 3rd party security staff’s performance to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and any other requirements to deliver AirTrunk’s maintenance and compliance programs
- Oversee maintenance and upgrades on the site security network
Your Day to Day
- First point of contact for all visitors, responsible for the efficient processing of visitors, contractors, clients and AirTrunk staff into the facility as well as any other front of house requests
- Conduct regular property inspections focusing on security and EHS
- Ensure all aspects of data centre security systems are in line with AirTrunk’s policies
- General administrative duties, such as producing reports, providing evidence for audit, and tracking time and attendance of staff
- Coordination with Site FM team leads on security, access, and maintenance requirements
- Ensure new security staff and security vendors are trained and qualified
- Assist in the delivery of various accreditation initiatives, including, but not limited to, ISO 27001 and SOC 2
- Support the Critical Environments team in the management of physical security incidents at the property
- Develop emergency response plans and conduct drills
- Coordinate staff when responding to emergencies and alarms
- Ensure compliance with all relevant security regulations and standards
- Support Building Service Manager in soft services
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experiences and 2+ years of experience in a people management role, ideally in a physical security or operations environment
- Data centre or mission critical background is a plus
- Successfully managed audit and ideally experience with managing 3rd party vendors and customers
- Security License and First Aid Certificate holder or meet requirements to acquire these
- Experience in reporting and emergency response planning
- Ability to comprehend, analyse and interpret operational documents
- Can establish and review incident reports, emergency event summaries, root cause analysis reports and O&M manuals
- Proficient in computer systems, ideally with experience in CCTV and/or EACS systems (such as Genetec or Lenel)
- Registered as Fire Safety Officer
