Bring your energy to Aggreko as a HVAC Team Leader based in Miami, FL. You'll perform preventive and reactive maintenance, repairs and management of fleet, spare parts and all necessary ancillaries consumables of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors at the shop.

Job Description Summary

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs of HVAC equipment and complete required documentation
  • Complete necessary paperwork in a timely and accurate manner which may include data entry and general use of computer systems and software as directed
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures in house, over the phone and on customer sites when required
  • Install and operate equipment as directed internally and on customer's site when needed
  • Knowledge and ability to determine nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements
  • Thorough understanding and capability to read and understand schematics
  • Obtain and maintain necessary certifications required to operate equipment as outlined by federal, provincial and local ordinances
  • Prepare and provide various reports as requested to maintain accurate record keeping on equipment – including preventative maintenance records in a timely manner
  • Actively promote a working environment that is both positive and productive for all employees
  • Provide on-call and after hours support as needed
  • Maintain a positive attitude and perform under tight time constraints and sometimes stressful situations

  • Coach and mentor more junior technicians to develop skills
  • Assist and guide tech development working with the SCM to develop the technical base
  • Assist with Prep for hire, ensure proper equipment is pulled and all accessories match the job
  • Ensure shop meets GSCS standards
  • Research technical data and parts
  • Assists with parts research and identification
  • Ensure hose testing is current
  • Complete yard walks for fleet accuracy and readiness as well as inventory variance reduction

What you'll do as a Team Leader

  • Expect to work on commercial/industrial HVAC equipment in the shop
  • You'll have an opportunity to work overtime and weekends
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations, and handle the repairs
  • You will either be out on your own or teamed up with another technician(s) to set up and operate equipment at the shop

You are

  • Able to provide a High School diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
  • Proven to have 4-7 years of experience working on commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs
  • Valid driver's license, EPA certification
  • Bilingual Spanish speaking is preferred
  • Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 50 lbs.

Other essential job requirements  

  • Availability to work the assigned schedule, travel to work locations (if needed) and be on standby for work outside of regularly scheduled shifts
  • Must be able to stand, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrain with functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices
  • Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that will permit work to be safely performed from ground / floor level to full overhead level
  • Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items, functional hand-eye coordination, and functionally grip with adequate strength to safely hold tools and stair railing or ladders
  • Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs.), push/pull (80 lbs.), carry (60 lbs.), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs.), stoop, kneel and squat
