About Wolt

At Wolt, we create technology that brings joy, simplicity and earnings to the neighborhoods of the world. In 2014 we started with delivery of restaurant food. Now we’re building the delivery of (almost) everything and you’ll find us in over 500 cities in 30 countries around the world. In 2022 we joined forces with DoorDash and together we keep on dreaming big and expanding across the globe.

Working at Wolt isn’t always easy, but it’s definitely exciting. Here you’ll learn more, build more, and ship more than in most other companies. You’ll be challenged a lot, but also have a lot of fun on the way. So, if you’re a self-starter with drive and entrepreneurial spirit, this could be the ride of your life.

We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to help build and evolve our new Common case-management system, powering support-case handling across DoorDash, Wolt, and Deliveroo.

You will own significant end-to-end initiatives across backend services and agent-facing tools: case lifecycle, routing and assignment, queue management, case evidence and history, and migration from legacy systems. This is a hands-on product engineering role for someone who can turn ambiguous customer and operational problems into durable technical solutions.

What you’ll do

  • Lead one or more project-level Case Management initiatives from discovery and design through rollout, measurement, and operational ownership.
  • Build scalable backend services and React-based internal tools used by support operators and administrators.
  • Design reliable case-management capabilities, including case creation, routing, assignment, transfers, audit history, notes, attachments, and queue-management workflows.
  • Help deliver feature parity with legacy platforms while safely migrating traffic across DoorDash, Wolt, and Deliveroo.
  • Make and own technical decisions within your scope; write project-level design documents, identify dependencies and risks, and break work into parallelizable delivery plans.
  • Partner closely with Product, Operations, Support, Data, and other engineering teams to define the right customer problems and improve the roadmap.
  • Raise the quality bar through thoughtful design reviews, observability, testing, incident response, documentation, and reusable patterns.
  • Mentor engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and constructive feedback.

Must-have qualifications

  • Strong full-stack engineering experience, including production React and TypeScript experience.
  • Strong backend engineering experience, including designing and operating backend services, APIs, asynchronous workflows, and data models at meaningful scale.
  • Demonstrated ownership of complex, customer-facing or operations-critical projects from technical design through production rollout.
  • Hands-on experience using AI development tools to improve engineering productivity, while validating generated output for correctness, security, privacy, maintainability, and reliability.
  • Strong product judgment: able to translate ambiguous workflows and user needs into simple, maintainable technical solutions.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across functions, drive alignment, and communicate trade-offs clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong software-engineering craft: testing, code review, observability, incident response, security, and operational readiness.
  • Comfortable working on systems with high correctness and auditability requirements, including traceability of decisions and changes.
  • A proactive mentoring mindset and willingness to raise team-wide engineering standards.

Nice-to-have qualifications

  • Go experience.
  • Experience with migration from legacy systems, gradual rollouts, traffic shadowing, and feature-parity programs.
  • Experience building internal tools or operational user interfaces.
  • Experience with high-volume, multi-region, or multi-tenant systems.

What success looks like

  • Delivers a major Case Management initiative with clear technical ownership, predictable execution, and measurable customer or business impact.
  • Improves the Common system’s reliability, usability, and maintainability while enabling safe migration from legacy case-management systems.
  • Helps move support traffic onto the Common system without reducing case-resolution quality.
  • Builds solutions that other engineers and operators can confidently reuse and operate.
  • Acts as a technical leader within the team: unblocks peers, improves engineering decisions, and strengthens cross-functional execution.

Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion

That’s why we hire and cultivate diverse teams of people from all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.
