Customer Service Representative

Location: Lake Zurich, IL

Compensation: $50,000-$55,000 + Quarterly Bonus + Company Equity (Employee equity program)

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 1st Shift


Our client, a rapidly growing manufacturer in the industrial products industry, is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who enjoys helping customers, staying organized, and wants to grow within a company that is investing heavily in its future.


You'll work directly alongside company leadership in a collaborative, team-oriented environment where your ideas and contributions are valued. This isn't just another customer service position—it's an opportunity to learn the business from the ground up with a clear path into leadership or inside sales as the company continues its aggressive growth.


Responsibilities

  • Serve as one of the primary points of contact for customers via phone and email.
  • Process customer orders, quotes, and work orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Track orders and shipments while providing timely updates to customers.
  • Resolve customer questions and coordinate with internal departments to ensure excellent service.
  • Learn the company's industrial product line through hands-on training with experienced technical staff.
  • Maintain accurate customer information and documentation within company systems.
  • Support daily office operations while helping deliver an outstanding customer experience.


Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of customer service, administrative, office support, retail, or other customer-facing experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, email, and basic computer systems.
  • Organized with excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and ask questions.
  • Able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Manufacturing or industrial customer service experience.
  • Order entry, quoting, or ERP system experience.
  • Exposure to industrial equipment or technical products.
  • Interest in growing into Customer Service Lead or Inside Sales.
