Contract Terms:  Permanent, 38 hours per week (3 days in office)
 

THE TEAM

The Senior Settlements Manager Ticketmaster/Moshtix AUNZ is part of the Finance team, and you will plan the settlements allocations, prepare settlements, review and support the settlements team members, reconcile and investigate balances across Ticketmaster settlements platforms and finance systems. Provide client settlements in line with Ticketmaster / Moshtix contracted terms. Work in accordance with Ticketmaster/Moshtix processes and policies and audit requirements.

THE JOB

This dynamic and fast paced role is for someone who likes working with tight daily and monthly deadlines. This well organised and positive thinker will lead the settlements team in the finance department. They will work cooperatively as part of the Settlements/Collections/Contract setup/ Reporting team and will liaise with all colleagues in the Corporate Services Department to ensure individual performance objectives are met across all teams in the TM business.

The Senior Settlements Manager AUNZ is also required to liaise with staff of the national Client Operations team and the Event Programming Centre in relation to settlement arrangements and contract terms.

This position is also required to liaise with Host and Archtics clients to ensure that the settlements are completed correctly and per contractual terms.

Other duties include accounting journals and reconciliations of allocated General Ledger accounts. Assist in any other payments required from refunds to contract payments including rebates and interest payments. They will also assist with allocated month end duties, client reporting and balancing to support the Financial Reporting team.

A new aspect of this role will be building out contract rules in both Domo reporting/Global Settlements System (GSS) systems as we move to automated settlements in Global Settlements System (GSS), this role requires the ability to manage and work on this project achieving the goals set and timelines we need to meet.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY RESULT AREAS: 

  • Prepare the weekly allocation of the upcoming settlements to the settlements team so everyone is clear on what settlements/rebates are required for each event/client in the AUS and NZ markets for TM and Moshtix.
  • Ensure accurate reporting and settlement of all monies per contract for allocated events sold through Ticketmaster / Moshtix nationally in a timely manner.
  • Ensure Archtics clients are paid and charged in accordance with the contracts and schedules.
  • Maintain awareness of nominated client contracts regarding fees and schedules in relation to settlements, communicate any changes from contract-to-contract changes.
  • Provide internal and external stakeholders reports when required.
  • Adhere to Live Nation/Ticketmaster audit and policy requirements and assist when audit documents are required to auditors. Ensure compliance with SOX, audit requirements, and company policies.
  • Coach, develop and build capability across the Settlement Operations team.
  • Support business readiness and implementation activities for GSS and future settlement capabilities.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, automation opportunities, and operational standardisation.
  • Partner with Commercial, Event Programming, Client Operations, Product and Technology to improve end-to-end processes.
  • Drive proactive monitoring and upstream issue resolution to reduce settlement exceptions.
  • Support reporting and reporting integrity in DOMO sales system.

DUTIES

Primary:

  • To settle all monies per contract for allocated events sold through Ticketmaster nationally, in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Meet the daily deadlines and requirements for all settlements and payments.
  • To reconcile allocation General Ledgers and investigate any balances or discrepancies in these GLs.
  • Reconcile settlements using the SAP and Oracle accounting packages to ensure sales are balanced and investigate any differences in ledger prior to settlement.
  • Invoice all cancellation fees and charges where applicable as per contract arrangements.
  • Maintain our paperwork to our clients via emails and mail.
  • Manage a portfolio of AR debtors and Settlements in the allocated States.
  • Liaise with client and key personnel in TM national Offices.
  • Provide support to the Finance Manager – Operations and other Financial Accountants.
  • Supervise, lead, and support the other Aus and NZ Host and Archtics Settlement team members.
  • Assist client managers with reporting for clients where required.
  • Assist with TM and LNE Audit and compliance requirements.
  • Month end royalty accruals for certain allocated clients.
  • Pay over rebates and interest calculations.
  • Follow up box office reconciliations and cash requirements; liaise with cash collection companies for unreconciled deposits and banking amounts received.
  • Oversee processing of all refund requests.
  • Monitor advanced funds to clients.
  • Liaise with client manager in the setup of new clients and their finance requirements.
  • Any additional client month end reporting when requested from clients.
  • Ensure any training requirements are met both personally and ensuring the team are across all the settlement products we are reporting on.
  • The contracts part of this role is for client contract and event exception setups, new contract/vendor maintenance, and future planning requirements for GSS.
  • Creating promoter, venue, and contract rules to assist with the automation of settlement rules. Manage and update rules as contracts and deals change.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS)

  • Accounting/Finance tertiary studies and relevant workplace experience in the related field.
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office – Excel spreadsheets and formulas

Essential

  • Host Knowledge and host skills.
  • Leadership experience within Finance Operations, Settlement Operations or Ticketing Operations.
  • Strong understanding of operational finance and client settlement processes.
  • Strong understanding on how events are built on the host and the different layers of fees across these builds.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience leading process improvement and operational change.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
  • Ability to prioritise competing workloads and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of accounting and settlement systems.
  • Experience with enterprise finance systems.
  • Project or transformation experience.
