Job Description

We’re looking for an ambitious and people-focused Assistant Manager to join our high-performing Moorabbin branch in Victoria.

This is more than just a branch support role — Moorabbin is one of our largest and most strategically important locations in the state, with strong customer activity, a large team, and regular exposure to senior leadership. Often seen as the unofficial Victorian head office, this branch offers outstanding visibility and career development opportunities for someone ready to take the next step in their leadership journey.

About the role

• Supporting the Branch Manager with the day-to-day leadership and operations of the branch
• Ensuring customers receive friendly, responsive and professional service every time
• Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers, colleagues and internal stakeholders
• Providing guidance, leadership and on-the-job coaching to team members
• Helping to create a positive, inclusive and high-performing team culture
• Driving operational excellence and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
• Supporting branch compliance and reinforcing a strong workplace health and safety culture
• Working closely with the wider branch team to deliver sales, service and operational outcomes

Qualifications

You are a motivated and capable team player with a passion for customer service, operational success and people leadership. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, take pride in supporting others, and are ready to grow your career with a business that will invest in your development.

You’ll ideally bring:

• Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within a sales or service-driven environment
• A passion for delivering excellent customer outcomes and driving operational excellence
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• The ambition to learn, grow and build a long-term career with Rexel
• Previous experience leading, mentoring or coaching team members will be highly regarded
• Exposure to electrical wholesale, trades, industrial, building or construction industries will be highly regarded
