Facility Maintenance Repair I
Clean Harbors Deer Park is searching for a mechanically-inclined individual to join their safety-focused team as Facility Maintenance Repair II (Truck Shop Technician).
This position is covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Work schedule, hourly pay, and testing requirements are governed by the union contract.
Work Schedule (per CBA): Shiftwork schedule (4-12HR day shifts, 4 days off/on-call, 4-12HR hour day shifts, 4 days off/off-call)
Hourly Wage (per CBA): $34.45/HR; Additional earnings may include overtime opportunities and other benefits outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).

Requirements
- Ensure Health & Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner;
- Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, disassembling, repairing, and re-assembling parts as necessary;
- Testing mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers’ specifications;
- Working with computer instrumentation to perform diagnostic and execute work order
- Other duties as assigned
What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?
- High School Diploma or equivalent – required;
- Passing Bennett Mechanical Comprehension Test – required;
- 3+ years’ experience with heavy industrial equipment, maintenance, and mobile equipment repair in plant environment – required;
- Hydraulics system troubleshooting repair – required;
- Must understand schematics and troubleshoot mechanical equipment plant systems – required;
- Caterpillar & Kubota engine repair experience, certifications or education is a plus – preferred;
- Experience operating a cutting torch (propylene) for metal cutting and demolition – required;
- Experience servicing vehicle or mobile air conditioning systems – required;
- Air Conditioning Certification or equivalent experience – required;
- Ability to meet physical demands of the position, including movements such as lifting, bending, climbing, and the manipulating and handling of objects – required;
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs – required;
- Valid driver’s license – required;
