Position Summary:
The MedInsight team develops an industry-leading data warehouse and analytics suite for major healthcare companies including insurers, providers, and public entities. We are a tech healthcare data company transforming how the industry understands and consumes healthcare data.
We are seeking a Healthcare Data Analyst to help transform complex healthcare data into meaningful insights that improve quality, reduce costs, and support better healthcare decision-making. Working alongside consultants, product teams, and analytics experts, you'll profile, validate, and analyze large healthcare datasets while support MedInsight's industry-leading analytics platform and analytic consulting clients.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex data problems, learning new technologies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality analytical solutions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Analyze large healthcare datasets using SQL, Databricks, Python, and other analytical tools.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries to support reporting, analytics, and client deliverables.
- Develop, maintain, and execute data quality checks, feasibility assessments, validation processes, and reconciliation activities.
- Monitor data quality, investigate anomalies, troubleshooting issues, and recommend corrective actions to ensure data integrity.
- Develop technical specifications and analytical approaches for healthcare data analyses.
- Interpret analytical findings and communicate insights, trends, and business impacts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Produce reports, dashboards, ad hoc analyses, and other client or internal deliverables.
- Document data definitions, business rules, methodologies, and analytical processes.
- Collaborate with Product, Consulting, Engineering, and Client Success teams to support implementations and resolve client questions.
- Identify opportunities to automate recurring analyses and improve analytical workflows.
- Prioritize and manage multiple assignments while consistently meeting project deadlines.
- Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives that enhance data quality, operational efficiency, and customer experience.
- Follow MedInsight Quality Risk Management (QRM) standards and company policies.

- Travel occasionally for team meetings or professional development (less than 5%).
Requirements:
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Health Informatics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business Analytics, Healthcare Administration, or a related quantitative field
Experience
- One or more years of experience using SQL or comparable data querying tools.
- Experience analyzing structured datasets and producing analytical deliverables.
- Experience using one or more of the following technologies:
- SQL Server / T-SQL
- Python
- PySpark
- Azure Databricks
- Comparable scripting or analytical tools
Required Skills:
- Proficiency writing SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with Microsoft Excel.
- Understanding of relational databases and data warehouse concepts.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and business audiences.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Curiosity, initiative, and a continuous learning mindset.
- Collaborative approach with the ability to work both independently and within cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with healthcare claims, eligibility, provider, clinical, or pharmacy data.
- Experience using Azure Databricks or PySpark.
- Experience creating dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools.
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Experience supporting healthcare analytics, business intelligence, or data warehousing initiatives.

This role can be located remotely within the US. The expected application deadline for this job is September 30, 2026.
Compensation:
The overall salary range for this role is $49,900 - $88,895. For candidates residing in:
- Alaska, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York City, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, or the District of Columbia, the salary range is $57,385 - $88,895.
- All other locations the salary range is $49,900 - $77,300.
A combination of factors will be considered, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, etc.
