POSITION SUMMARY: The Pharma Reporting Data Manager is responsible for leading the successful delivery and ongoing support of pharmaceutical manufacturer contractual reporting requirements, while also serving as solutions manager and business product owner for the Real-Time Status Portal. This role sits at the intersection of client delivery, business solution design, data operations, and product leadership.
This person will own the translation of contractual reporting needs into scalable business requirements, partner across Specialty/Retail Trade, technology, and data teams to implement and enhance reporting solutions, and help drive a high-quality support model for pharma data and reporting. The role also provides strategic leadership for the Real-Time Status Portal, including roadmap direction, implementation oversight, enhancement prioritization, and business consultation to ensure the portal delivers meaningful value to Pharma clients and internal stakeholders.
Pharma Reporting Delivery and Solutions Management
- Own successful delivery of pharmaceutical manufacturers’ contractual reporting requirements from contract review through implementation and post-production support
- Review and redline Pharma reporting contracts to ensure reporting requirements, data quality expectations, and data specifications are clearly understood and appropriately captured.
- Assess feasibility of delivering contractual reporting needs by researching Specialty Pharmacy systems and partnering with internal data and technology teams
- Create, maintain, and communicate business requirements documentation based on Pharma contractual specifications
- Translate reporting requirements, data flows, and configuration needs for project teams and internal stakeholders
- Serve as a primary point of contact and Subject matter expert for Pharma clients and their partners, including HUBs and data aggregators, during contract redlining, implementation, and ongoing support
- Partner with Specialty/Retail Trade to understand upcoming data project needs, product pipeline priorities, and implementation timelines
- Provide business technical consultation across reporting initiatives and flex into capital projects based on business need and project volume
Issue Resolution and Operational Support
- Lead timely resolution of data issues and concerns in alignment with contractual SLAs
- Review, analyze, and conduct root cause analysis for data issues that do not comply with Pharma contracts
- Drive corrective and preventive actions to improve data quality and reduce repeat issues
- Suggest system and process enhancements that improve data quality, strengthen scalability, and reduce manual effort
- Utilize strong SQL expertise to create and enhance queries that retrieve, consolidate, parse, and analyze data from multiple sources, driving data-informed decision-making and resolution of complex business and reporting issues.
Product Ownership: Real-Time Status Portal
- Act as primary business product owner for the Pharma Real-Time Status Portal
- Define and evolve the long-term product roadmap and strategic vision in partnership with Specialty Trade
- Lead business-side portal implementations, enhancements, and ongoing support to drive successful outcomes for Pharma clients
- Provide subject matter expertise and business consultation to internal partners on portal capabilities, use cases, and opportunities
- Partner with development teams to prioritize features, clarify business requirements, and support successful delivery of portal enhancements
- Ensure the portal strategy aligns with contractual reporting needs, client experience expectations, and broader business priorities
- Identify gaps, risks and dependencies early, enabling proactive solutions that protects product credibility
- Develop and maintain product-specific materials such as product playbooks, FAQs etc.
Insights, Tools, and Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with development teams and Account Managers to analyze and deliver meaningful metrics and insights for Quarterly Business Reviews with Pharma clients
- Recommend, design, develop, and oversee execution of operational decision-support and infrastructure tools, including dashboards, reports, and templates
- Write project request forms and ensure capital asks are submitted for long-term reporting corrections and enhancements
- Act as a subject matter expert in Specialty and Retail pharma data systems and identify opportunities for best-in-class data solutions
- Support additional responsibilities related to servicing Pharma data requests as business needs evolve
Required Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
- Degree concentration in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in data management, reporting, business analysis, solutions delivery, product ownership, or related business-facing technical roles
- 3+ years of experience working with SQL or similar querying/programming tools to support data analysis, issue resolution, reporting, or solution design
- 5+ years of experience working with cross-functional stakeholders in a client-facing, operational, or solutions-focused environment
- Experience in the pharma Trade or Specialty Pharmacy space
- Experience leading end-to-end business requirements, translating complex business or contractual needs into scalable solutions, and supporting delivery from implementation through post-production support
- Experience driving root cause analysis, issue resolution, process improvement, and operational enhancements in a complex data or reporting environment
- Experience leading business prioritization, decision-making, and stakeholder alignment for systems, tools, portals, or reporting solutions
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge, including the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and support reporting or issue resolution activities
- Demonstrated can-do attitude, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach to problem solving and cross-functional support

The typical pay range for this role is:
$60,300.00 - $145,860.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
