Power Platform Business Automation Specialist

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Power Platform & Business Automation Specialist to support the Commissioning organization through the development of digital tools, reporting solutions, automation workflows, and business applications.
In this role, the person will design, develop, and maintain solutions using Power BI, Power Apps, Dataverse, Power Automate, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and other Microsoft 365 tools. The position supports commissioning managers, project teams, and business stakeholders by improving data visibility, reducing manual work, automating repetitive processes, and creating practical digital solutions that support project execution and decision-making.
The role serves as a key interface between commissioning operations and digital transformation activities, helping standardize reporting, improve data quality, and support continuous improvement across projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models to support commissioning status tracking, resource planning, project reporting, and management visibility.
- Design, build, and improve Power Apps for commissioning workflows, project coordination, documentation tracking, resource management, and operational support.
- Create and maintain Dataverse tables, relationships, security roles, and data structures to support scalable business applications.
- Develop automated workflows using Power Automate to reduce manual administrative work, automate approvals, notifications, data updates, and repetitive processes.
- Support the implementation and adoption of Microsoft 365 Copilot and AI-assisted automation within commissioning and project teams.
- Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities for digitalization, simplification, and automation.
- Work closely with commissioning managers, document control, project teams, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into practical digital solutions.
- Maintain data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across Power Platform solutions.
- Prepare technical documentation, user instructions, process flows, and training material for developed tools.
- Provide user support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement for existing Power Platform applications and reports.
- Support standardization of reporting, data collection, and automation practices across commissioning projects.
- Promote innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement through digital tools and automation.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Systems, Data Analytics, or related discipline.
- Proven experience developing solutions with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, business reporting, process automation, and application development.
- Experience creating dashboards, KPIs, and management reports using Power BI.
- Ability to translate business requirements into functional digital solutions.
- Good understanding of Microsoft 365 environment, including SharePoint, Teams, Excel, Outlook, and Copilot.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
