Supply Chain Property Expert - Clearance Required

LMI is seeking an experienced Supply Chain and Government Property Manager to join our team in the National Capital Region. The successful candidate will focus on managing the accountability of Department of War (DoW) property, with an emphasis on supporting the Office of the Secretary of War (OSW) Sustainment and the F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO). This role plays a crucial part in ensuring accurate recording, effective control, and compliance with DoD regulations, contributing to audit goals and the maintenance of Government Furnished Property.

Responsibilities
Primary Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Support the management and accountability of a DoW joint program office property portfolio in accordance with DoW property policy and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with DoDI 5000.64, "Accountability and Management of DoD Equipment and Other Accountable Property."
- Support OASW (Sustainment) audit goals by coordinating the capture and reporting of inventory Trial Balances.
- Contribute to achieving clean audit opinions for the F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO).
- Assist with the management of Government Furnished Property (GFP) for the F-35 JPO.
- Ensure accurate recording, effective control, and proper use of DoW property.
- Maintain detailed property records and ensure compliance with all relevant DoW regulations and policies.
- Collect and compile F-35 physical inventories.
- Reconcile discrepancies in property records.
- Develop and implement internal procedures for property management.
- Train personnel on property accountability procedures.
- Prepare required reports on property status.
- Provide necessary documentation to support audits and inspections.
- Address findings related to property management.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of DoDI 5000.64.
- Possess strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Be proficient in commonly-used property management systems.
- Perform all tasks with attention to detail to ensure the highest standards of accountability and stewardship of DoW assets.
Location Requirement:
- National Capital Region (NCR) with travel as required.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in property management, logistics, or a related field, with a focus on DoD property.
- Comprehensive knowledge of DoDI 5000.64, "Accountability and Management of DoD Equipment and Other Accountable Property."
- Proven experience in managing Government Furnished Property (GFP) within DoD or similar organizations.
- Ability to develop and implement internal procedures for property management.
- Experience training personnel on property accountability procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to use MS Office Suite to include Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Superior communication skills, both oral and written
- High energy, enthusiasm, tact, ability to effectively interact with senior executives from Government and industry.
- Ability to create and foster a cooperative work environment.
- Self-directed, detail oriented in completing assigned tasks, able to adapt to changing work efforts and manage impact of shifting priorities.
- Must be available for occasional travel
- Applicants must hold a current U.S. Government SECRET clearance
Desired Skills:
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Prior military or DoD civilian/contractor experience
- Experience specifically with the F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO) or similar large-scale defense programs.
- Knowledge of additional DoD and federal regulations related to property accountability and management.
- Experience contributing to achieving clean audit opinions for government agencies or defense programs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to reconcile discrepancies in inventory records.
- Familiarity with advanced inventory management software and tools.
- Previous experience leading or managing a team in a property management or logistics context.
