Continuous Improvement Specialist - Production

Darra, AustraliaFull-timePosted Aug 5, 2026

We're looking for a Continuous Improvement Specialist to join our production team and play a key role in driving our continuous improvement journey. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of improvement initiatives, influence how production teams operate, and contribute to an established TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) program focused on delivering sustainable operational excellence.

About the Role

As our Continuous Improvement Specialist, you'll work closely with production teams to identify inefficiencies, analyse equipment downtime, and implement practical solutions that improve reliability, efficiency and overall equipment performance. You'll be visible on the production floor, partnering directly with operators and stakeholders to drive improvements that make a measurable difference.

This is not a desk-bound improvement role. You'll spend time working with equipment, understanding production challenges firsthand, coaching operators, and helping embed autonomous maintenance practices across the site.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Analyse production performance and equipment downtime data to identify improvement opportunities.

  • Lead and support TPM and autonomous maintenance initiatives.

  • Investigate recurring breakdowns and process issues and implement sustainable solutions.

  • Work closely with operators to improve equipment understanding and ownership.

  • Deliver training and coaching sessions to production teams.

  • Use production data and reporting tools, including Excel, to identify trends and track improvement outcomes.

  • Support continuous improvement projects across filling-line equipment and manufacturing processes.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to build support for change and drive operational excellence.

What Makes This Opportunity Different?

  • Be part of an established continuous improvement and TPM program.

  • Enjoy a highly visible role where your work directly impacts production performance.

  • Combine hands-on mechanical problem solving with analytical improvement work.

  • Influence how operators maintain and care for critical production equipment.

  • Work across equipment, processes, training and culture rather than being limited to a single improvement stream.

  • Join a team focused on reducing downtime, improving efficiency and building long-term capability within production operations.

What We're Looking For

You'll likely come from a manufacturing, production, engineering or maintenance environment and be passionate about making things work better. Ideally you will have:

  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

  • Continuous improvement experience.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and equipment knowledge.

  • Ability to analyse operational issues and identify practical solutions.

  • Experience using Excel and data analysis tools.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Ability to deliver training and influence frontline teams.

  • A proactive, hands-on approach to problem solving.

Who Will Thrive in This Role?

You enjoy getting to the root cause of problems, working alongside operators, and turning data into action. You're equally comfortable investigating equipment performance on the production floor as you are analysing trends in Excel and presenting improvement opportunities to stakeholders.

Ready to Make an Impact?

If you're looking for an opportunity where you can combine technical expertise, continuous improvement, stakeholder engagement and hands-on problem solving, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply now and help shape the future of operational excellence.
