Job Description

Senior Specialist, People Operations Location: London, UK (Hybrid – candidates must be located within commuting distance of our London office)

The Senior Specialist, People Operations is responsible for the accurate, timely, and compliant execution of employee lifecycle processes across our global organization, with primary operational ownership across the EMEA region (including Spain, the UK, Lithuania, Romania, and Israel).

This role serves as an operational anchor for data integrity and process consistency across Workday and related People systems. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, the Senior Specialist manages complex cases, maintains high operational standards, and actively contributes to continuous process improvement. As a true global team player, you will bring an AI-forward mindset to your daily work—proactively seeking out smart technologies and automated solutions to drive efficiency, elevate service delivery, and help our People Operations function scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Employee Lifecycle Execution: Execute end-to-end employee lifecycle transactions (hires, changes, terminations) with high accuracy and timely documentation in Workday. Maintain process standardization across EMEA while independently managing complex and non-standard cases. Partner with the Global Mobility team on mobility transactions and coordination.

  • Employee Data & Downstream Accuracy: Own the integrity of employee data in Workday as the system of record. Ensure data impacting payroll, compensation, reporting, and benefits is complete and accurate to prevent downstream impacts. Collaborate with Payroll and Finance to resolve data discrepancies promptly.

  • Benefits & Policy Administration: Support regional benefits programs alongside the Global Benefits COE and external vendors. Maintain working knowledge of labor laws and regulatory requirements across EMEA jurisdictions to ensure policy compliance.

  • Quality & Audit Support: Perform quality assurance checks on transactions and documentation to ensure adherence to defined standards. Support regional and global audit processes (including SOX) through meticulous record-keeping and proactive data governance.

  • Process Improvement & AI Adoption: Analyze recurring operational bottlenecks and implement scalable workflow enhancements. Proactively leverage modern tools, Workday functionality, and AI-enabled solutions in your day-to-day work to reduce manual effort and optimize efficiency.

  • Cross-Functional & Global Partnership: Serve as a key point of contact for employee lifecycle inquiries. Contribute to global People Operations initiatives that improve scalability and service consistency across all regions.

Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of experience in People Operations or HR Operations, featuring advanced hands-on experience with Workday transactions, data governance, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience navigating employee lifecycle processes in audit-conscious operational environments (exposure to SOX controls preferred).

  • Regional Compliance Knowledge: Working knowledge of labor laws and compliance requirements in at least two to three priority EMEA markets—specifically the UK, Spain, or Romania (exposure to Lithuania or Israel is a plus).

  • AI-Forward Mindset: An active curiosity and hands-on approach to modern technology; a track record of proactively adopting AI tools, automation, or modern software solutions to improve your own daily workflows and operational efficiency.

  • Fluency in English (both written and verbal).

Capabilities

  • Exceptional precision, strong attention to detail, and a quality-first mindset.

  • Ability to balance execution in high-volume environments with sound judgment on when to resolve, escalate, or route complex operational cases

  • Clear, concise communication style and strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
