Job Description
As a Security Officer Full Time Driver Badge Control in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. This driving position offers the opportunity to support students, staff, and visitors through professional communication and exceptional customer service. - Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, residence areas, and perimeter locations, reporting unusual conditions or maintenance concerns.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner in accordance with established procedures.
- Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by observing activity, checking credentials when required, and directing visitors appropriately.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to campus personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
