Job Summary
As a Technical Program Manager, Level 5, you will own the planning, execution, governance, and delivery of complex engineering programs across NetApp product teams. You will partner with engineering, product management, quality, release management, and customer-facing teams to translate business and technical priorities into executable plans.
You will manage program scope, dependencies, risks, release readiness, engineering backlog health, defect governance, and stakeholder communications. You will use data, automation, agile practices, and responsible AI to improve predictability, quality, productivity, and operational efficiency.
Job Requirements
- Drive coordination and orchestration across multiple stakeholders to identify, prioritize, design, and deploy key initiatives that accelerate NetApp’s Technology growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and best practices to enhance the overall customer experience.
- Guide other stakeholders in the development of comprehensive programs and tech initiatives, including clear and concise governance models, policies, and procedures.
- Communicate updates, progress, and results to stakeholder groups, including executive leadership, sales teams, and cross-functional teams.
Be instrumental in gathering field feedback and insights to inform CORE FILE SERVCIES GROUP team on new initiatives
Knowledge and Technical Skills
- 15+ years of experience in technical program management, engineering program management, or related roles in enterprise software, infrastructure, cloud, storage, or distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of agile delivery, release management, CI/CD practices, backlog management, defect governance, and software quality processes.
- Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional engineering programs involving multiple teams, geographies, dependencies, and executive stakeholders.
- Experience defining and improving execution metrics such as schedule predictability, engineering throughput, backlog health, defect aging, release readiness, risk burndown, and quality outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to use tools such as Jira, Power BI, or equivalent platforms to manage plans, dependencies, risks, dashboards, and stakeholder reporting.
- Ability to understand technical architecture, dependencies, engineering trade-offs, and quality risks sufficiently to drive informed program decisions.
- Experience applying AI, automation, or analytics to improve productivity, reporting, planning, quality, or operational efficiency, with appropriate governance and responsible-use practices.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience working in enterprise storage, cloud infrastructure, data management, SaaS, distributed systems, or platform engineering.
- Experience managing programs involving customer escalations, quality initiatives, release trains, or cross-product dependencies.
- Experience building executive dashboards and operating reviews.
- Experience leading change management or process transformation across engineering organizations.
- Strong facilitation skills for driving alignment in ambiguous or high-pressure situations.Knowledge of NetApp products
