Job Description Summary
GE On Site Services/Life Extension Services team is looking for motivated, experienced, and skilled Generator Robotics Inspection Specialist with expertise in remote and robotics inspections of turbogenerator components. All resources, and logistics required to perform inspection services on customers' site/property. These activities contribute to, maintain, repair, and refurbish sold or existing products. Includes all types of maintenance service (preventive and remedial), manage maintenance facilities and field services engineering. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- All On Site Services/Life Extensions inspection-related service activities able to be performed globally at customer site includes generator diagnostics & robotic inspections & testing.
- Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy. May include support roles with specialized technical field of knowledge; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.
- Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
- May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
- A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills and may be required to lead a junior team. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Explains technical information to others.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma) with experience in power industry or remote inspections.
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Possess or able to obtain a passport for international travel
- Ability and willingness to travel significantly with no restrictions, both domestic and internationally.
- Travel and work globally on short notice up to 80% of the time, and for extended periods of time, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to gain access to and work in industrial facilities, power generation plans and nuclear power plants and foreign countries. Ability and willingness to work overtime and 2nd shift
- Fluent in written and spoken English language (as person's second language).

Desired Characteristics
- High degree of experience / expertise with operation of robots for remote inspections on turbomachinery and generators, power generation facilities.
- Experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of electronics and robotics equipment.
