FinOps Governance & Business Partnership Serve as the FinOps practitioner supporting assigned business units, value streams, or product pillars. Participate in FinOps governance and operational review cadences, including forecasting, budgeting, optimization tracking, and reporting. Partner with engineering and product teams to establish accountability for cloud consumption and spending. Support monthly and quarterly business reviews related to cloud costs, usage trends, and optimization progress. Promote FinOps best practices and cost awareness across engineering and product organizations. Forecasting, Planning & Financial Management Support rolling cloud forecasts and budget planning activities. Monitor spend against budgets and forecast targets. Analyze cloud consumption trends and identify potential risks or variances. Assist with forecasting models by incorporating application growth, customer demand, migrations, and platform initiatives. Support planning activities for commitments, reservations, and discount programs. Support implementation and maintenance of chargeback and showback models. Enable transparency into cloud spend by application, service, team, and business unit. Assist in developing and maintaining unit economics and cost-to-serve reporting. Support anomaly management and investigation of unexpected spend patterns. Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and KPIs that provide visibility into cloud spending and optimization opportunities. Analyze cost and usage data to uncover trends, insights, and risks. Support self-service reporting initiatives and adoption of FinOps tools. Work closely with Product, Engineering, Architecture, SRE, Finance, Procurement, and Cloud Platform teams. Support implementation of cloud governance policies and standards. Participate in cloud cost reviews, architecture discussions, and planning sessions. Collaborate with FinOps leadership to improve operational maturity and adoption of FinOps practices across the organization. Budget planning and forecasting support. Improvements in tagging compliance and unit economics reporting. 3+ years of experience in FinOps, cloud financial management, cloud operations, IT finance, or related disciplines. Experience supporting cloud cost optimization, reporting, budgeting, or forecasting activities. Familiarity with AWS and/or GCP billing and cost management services. Experience with cloud cost reporting and analytics tools. Advanced Microsoft Excel and data analysis capabilities. Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker. Ability to translate technical cloud consumption data into business insights. Knowledge of commitment management programs including Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, and Committed Use Discounts. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Solutions Architect Associate, or GCP Cloud Digital Leader certification. Success Measures Within this role, success will be measured by: Forecast accuracy and budget adherence within supported business units.
