Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Software Test Engineer I - Vaddio to join the Audio Video Division in Minnesota. 

This position is responsible for helping to ensure software quality and end-user satisfaction for the Vaddio product line of audio/visual equipment, including Pan/Tilt/Zoom cameras, video switching, and USB interface devices.  The employee will execute test plans to verify and validate software behavior on our embedded devices, both manually and through test automation, and will ensure that software quality issues are identified, documented, tracked, and resolved in JIRA, our defect tracking system.

What Will You Do? 
• Execute test plans and create test reports to describe program evaluation, testing, and correction 
• Identify, record, and document software bugs in JIRA to notify software team of issues that need to be addressed   
• Perform thorough regression testing of Vaddio products when bugs are resolved   
• Conduct compatibility tests with third-party software and hardware to validate interoperability 
• Focus driving on Vaddio EasyIP Ecosystems along with Dante audio video multicasting interoperability.  
• Participate in troubleshooting and triaging of issues with Vaddio products and work with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution 
• Create test scripts and leverage test software to automate recurring tasks where possible 
• Understand workplace hazards and take steps to proactively prevent and report hazards or injuries in the workplace. Cooperate in safety programs, initiatives, and investigations

Required Skills:  
• Associate’s degree in a technical field preferred, or 1–2 years of related education and/or experience. 
• Excellent analytical skills   
• Interest in software QA methodologies, tools, and processes   
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work both independently and as part of a team 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
• Must possess a high degree of professionalism 
• Must be able to function in a deadline driven environment 

Preferred Qualifications: 
• Working knowledge of audio/visual equipment and Unified Communications platforms, including Microsoft Teams or Zoom 
• Experience with bug tracking systems; JIRA experience is preferred 
• Exposure to Python and Unix shell scripting 
• Understanding of Dante and IPMX technologies 
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools, such as Selenium or Sikuli/SikuliX 

Working Conditions/Physical Demands: 
• This is a hybrid role requiring three days onsite per week, with additional onsite presence as needed based on business needs.  
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required (for the majority of the working day) to sit and make coordinated movements of the fingers for data entry on a keyboard. 
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. 
• General office environment. 

Salary Range: 
The expected salary range for this position is $65,000 – $72,000 annually
