We are seeking an experiencedย Production Operations Head โ€“ Kitchen Cabinetryย to lead end-to-end manufacturing operations for a premium modular kitchen and cabinetry business. This role is ideal for a seasoned manufacturing leader with deep expertise in engineered wood processing, production planning, quality management, and operational excellence. You will be responsible for driving manufacturing efficiency while ensuring exceptional product quality, on-time delivery, and cost optimization.

As the Production Operations Head, you will oversee the complete production lifecycle, including CNC machining, panel processing, edge banding, lamination, assembly, finishing, quality assurance, and dispatch. Working closely with Design, Sales, Supply Chain, Projects, and Quality teams, you will implement scalable manufacturing processes, optimize plant performance, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to support business growth.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end production planning and execution to ensure timely delivery of modular kitchen and cabinetry projects.
  • Manage production schedules, resource allocation, and manufacturing capacity across multiple production lines.
  • Coordinate with Design, Sales, and Project teams to convert approved designs into efficient production plans.
  • Drive production efficiency through optimized workflows, machine utilization, labor productivity, and material planning.
  • Establish and monitor quality control standards across machining, finishing, assembly, hardware installation, packaging, and dispatch.
  • Reduce manufacturing defects, rework, and material wastage through root cause analysis, process improvements, and standard operating procedures.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, continuous improvement, and operational excellence initiatives across the production facility.
  • Monitor production KPIs including productivity, OEE, first-pass yield, material utilization, and on-time delivery performance.
  • Manage production budgets, manufacturing costs, inventory consumption, and operational profitability.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop production supervisors, machine operators, technicians, quality teams, and shop-floor personnel while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials, hardware, and production resources.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and manufacturing best practices while supporting automation and digital manufacturing initiatives.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • 12+ years of experience in manufacturing operations with significant experience in modular furniture, kitchen cabinetry, woodworking, or engineered wood production.
  • Proven leadership experience managing large production teams and end-to-end manufacturing operations.
  • Strong expertise in CNC machining, panel processing, edge banding, finishing, modular cabinet assembly, and premium furniture manufacturing.
  • Solid understanding of production planning, quality management, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience managing production costs, operational KPIs, inventory optimization, and manufacturing profitability.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems, production reporting, and manufacturing analytics.
  • Excellent leadership, people management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach to operational decision-making.
  • Ability to balance quality, productivity, delivery timelines, and cost efficiency in a high-volume, custom manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline. Relevant manufacturing leadership experience in premium modular furniture or cabinetry production will be highly preferred.
