Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions.As an Industrial Electrician at our Chattanooga Facility, you will build and install switchgear and electrical components in custom metal equipment centers while interpreting detailed electrical drawings to meet precise customer specifications. We are currently hiring Industrial Electricians on multiple shifts. Day: M-Th | 7 am - 530 pm. Night: M-Th | 5 pm - 330 am. WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION: Install switchgear and electrical components into custom‑built metal equipment centers. Plan layouts and install wiring, electrical fixtures, and control equipment such as switches, relays, and circuit breakers. Read, interpret, and follow electrical drawings and engineered designs to meet customer specifications. Perform electrical repairs, troubleshooting, and testing as required. Use hand tools and power tools to complete electrical installations safely and efficiently. Follow NEC code requirements and company electrical standards. Operate forklifts and material‑handling equipment as needed. YOU HAVE: High school diploma or GED. Minimum of 5 years of experience in the electrical field or as an Electrical Helper. Experience installing and working with electrical systems, wiring, and control equipment. Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC). Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics. Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, tape measures, grinders, and saws. Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities. Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, kneel, reach, and work on ladders for extended periods in physically demanding production environments Frequent use of hands and fingers for fine manipulation, tool use, and repetitive tasks, requiring a full range of motion in the upper extremities Ability to lift, push, and pull materials and equipment up to 50 lbs, including moving carts and production materials Comfortable working in variable conditions, including high noise levels (85+ dba), dust, heat, cold, confined spaces, heights, and around moving machinery Requires strong coordination, vision, communication skills, and sustained focus to safely operate equipment, follow instructions, and perform tasks simultaneously WE HAVE:A dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every daynVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions.
