The company’s corporate headquarters are based in Michigan City, Indiana, and Norwalk, CT with manufacturing locations and sales offices located throughout the world.Position Summary: The Quality Engineer at Macurco, Inc. a DwyerOmega Brand, is responsible for developing, approving, and maintaining inspections, checks, and test methods that support the manufacturing process. This role ensures compliance with internal standards and quality requirements, evaluates organizational performance, and drives continuous improvement through effective collaboration within cross-functional teams.Interpret and break down specifications, standards, and technical documentation to ensure quality requirements are met on an as-needed basis. Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, and production teams to support quality objectives and operational success.Develop, modify, implement, and maintain receiving, in-process, and final product quality control and quality assurance protocols for the conversion of raw materials into partially finished and finished products. Ensure all special process and component requirements are met.Conduct internal Quality Management System (QMS) audits and coordinate with third-party registrars and customers to ensure ongoing compliance with applicable standards. Develop and implement inspection, testing, and evaluation methods to verify conformance to requirements. Perform nonconforming product analysis and disposition, ensuring issues are documented and closed in accordance with QMS procedures.Ensure corrective and preventive actions align with reliability standards and that all associated documentation meets compliance requirements.Approve methods for collecting and maintaining Statistical Process Control (SPC) data. Train and support staff in recording, analyzing, and acting on SPC results.Maintain compliance with requirements related to material control and record retention, ensuring all work is performed in accordance with documented Quality Management System.Develop and maintain quality performance metrics, analyze product and process data, and lead continuous improvement initiatives using quality engineering tools and structured problem-solving methodologies.Safety ResponsibilitiesFollow established safe work practices, participate in required safety training, and promptly report unsafe conditions, near misses, or accidents.Quality Responsibilities Understand and support the Quality Policy and applicable elements of the Quality Management System relevant to assigned work areas.Take proactive action to reduce, eliminate, and prevent quality...
