Let’s take a closer look at the roleJob DescriptionKey ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership & Network Design- Lead the development and execution of LTL and consolidation strategies aligned with company growth objectivesDesign and optimize carrier networks, including routing, cross-dock strategy, and consolidation pointsEstablish and manage strategic relationships with national and regional LTL carriersYield & Margin Management- Drive profitability through density optimization, cube utilization, and cost control strategiesDevelop and refine dynamic pricing frameworks that balance customer value and margin protectionMonitor market trends and capacity conditions to inform pricing and network decisionImplementation & Project Management- Oversee onboarding and implementation of new LTL and consolidation accountsEnsure successful API/EDI integrations and alignment with operational workflowsLead cross-functional projects from concept through execution with measurable outcomeOperational Excellence & Process Optimization- Develop and maintain SOPs for consolidation and LTL operationsPartner with operations and carrier management teams to ensure seamless executionSponsor and guide automation initiatives, including track & trace and digital platform integrationCustomer Engagement & Value Engineering- Serve as SME in solution design and sales pursuits, translating shipment data into value-driven proposalsLead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) for key accounts with actionable insightsConduct scenario modeling (“what-if” analysis) to optimize customer supply chainsDays and Shift InformationMonday – FridayStandard business hours with flexibility based on business needsOccasional travel required for customer meetings, carrier engagement, and internal alignmentWork EnvironmentOffice-based with a hybrid or flexible work arrangement depending on business needsFast-paced, data-driven logistics environment requiring cross-functional collaborationRegular interaction with executive leadership, customers, carriers, and internal teamsQualificationsEducationBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Industrial Engineering, or a related field requiredMaster’s degree or MBA preferredExperience10+ years of experience in LTL transportation, 3PL, or logistics network strategyStrong background in pricing, carrier management, and/or network optimizationExperience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), particularly LTL modules and optimization toolsProficiency with data visualization tools such as Power BI or TableauProven track record managing cross-functional projects and implementing scalable...
