Job Description

  

 

This post is based in Chelmsford.  The site generates world-leading technology critical for humankind, including vital components for radiotherapy machines and the imaging devices used in ground-breaking space missions.

Teledyne employs c 15,000 people worldwide; our Chelmsford facility is one of largest within the Teledyne group, hosting multiple business units and functions.

The Finance team in Chelmsford cover the full range of accounting disciplines. We focus on providing a high quality, professional and efficient service to a wide range of customers, based locally, across the UK and across the world.

As senior financial analyst, you will be supporting the RF Power Financial Controller with all financial activities related to the RF Power business unit.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive improvement in the financial management of Marine and Industrial business line

  • Provide regular insightful analysis and interpretation of the business results, highlighting opportunities for improved performance and the management of risk

  • Manage and control overhead spend (G&A, R&D) spend for RF Power Group

  • Provide advice and support for any financial/commercial decisions undertaken within the business, with a focus on delivering improved profitability/profitable growth

  • Support periodic processes: preparing journals, reconciliations, forecasts and annual plans

  • Provide advice and support in the preparation of customer bids

  • Management and delivery of financial projects as required

  • Provide oversight to ensure the business operates within the financial controls and procedures of the Teledyne Group, including SOX compliance

Competencies:

  • Finance business partnering

  • Experience of working within a deadline structured delivery environment

  • Accurate with good attention to detail.

  • Able to work autonomously and part of integrated teams

  • Strong excel and analysis skills

  • Experience of an ERP system  - preferable SAP HANA S4

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Be able to work within a fast paced, ever changing business

  • Team player who embraces change and possesses a continuous improvement mind-set

  • Ability to work autonomously in the company

Qualifications:

CIMA or ACCA Qualified

Manufacturing industry experience desirable
