Job Description:

  • Manages targeted physicians and practices to develop and retain referrals. Identifies, initiates, and maintains contact with targeted referral sources.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with physicians in the assigned territory to present services and foster business relationships.
  • Makes face-to-face contacts and presentations to current referring physicians and potential prospects.
  • Conducts proactive fieldwork with targeted physicians and their office staff to identify needs and match them with organizational offerings.
  • Develops and coordinates team presentations with service line managers and specialists for referring physicians.
  • Documents physician visits, contacts, issue resolutions, and market intelligence in the customer relations management software.
  • Implements the hospital’s issue resolution process and acts as a liaison for information between parties.
  • Oversees all sales and strategies for tactical implementation of assigned goals.
  • Analyzes physician information to identify key sales strategies and enhance referral relationships.
  • Provides information internally to facilitate physician access to services, issue resolution, and new offerings.
  • Utilizes market intelligence to ensure resource allocation and identify new product/service opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, including verbal, written, and public speaking (platform skills) [Required]
  • Ability to develop and sustain professional relationships and loyalty to the hospital as well as develop new referral sources [Required]
  • Demonstrate initiative, poise, confidence, and willingness to accept challenges [Required]
  • Ability to travel between hospital and physician offices [Required]
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the demands of the position [Required]
  • Must possess good time management skills and be customer and results-oriented [Required]
  • Familiarity with hospital operations, language, and roles [Required]
  • Ability to verbally articulate service line and product attributes [Required]
  • Ability to actively listen to physician and practice needs for hospital inpatient/outpatient services [Required]
  • Ability to conceptualize and generate sales within a fluid environment, with particular skill in identifying and setting priorities [Required]
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with physicians, employees, allied health providers, and healthcare leadership [Required]
  • Demonstrated writing ability [Required]
  • Knowledge of the hospital sales industry [Required]
  • Self-directed with an ability to oversee multiple projects/activities simultaneously [Required]Excellent relationship-building skills and ability to work well with others using tact and diplomacy [Required]
  • Ability to implement initiatives in a strategic manner with minimal supervision, multi-task, and take direction in a matrixed work environment [Required]
  • Fundamental knowledge of marketing and sales [Required]
  • General knowledge of computer hardware and software, including proficiency in Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams [Required]
  • Strong customer service experience [Required]
  • Knowledge on data analysis and database management skills (Salesforce products) [Preferred]
  • Sales educating and training of new staff [Preferred]


Education:

  • Bachelor's [Preferred]
  • Master's [Preferred]


Field of Study:

  • in Marketing, Public Relations, Business, Communications, Advertising, or Healthcare Administration


Work Experience:

  • 2+ position-related experience [Required]

Pay Range:

$60,151.66 - $111,886.39
