About The Role

We're looking for a talented Cloud Engineer to join our growing engineering team. You'll play a key role in designing, building, and operating the cloud infrastructure that powers our products and services. Working closely with engineering teams, you'll help create secure, scalable, and highly available platforms that enable developers to deliver software quickly and reliably.

You'll contribute to modernising our cloud environment, improving automation, and driving operational excellence across our platform. Whether you're an experienced Cloud Engineer or a strong Infrastructure or DevOps Engineer looking to take the next step, we'd love to hear from you.

What you will do

  • Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure.

  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

  • Improve CI/CD pipelines to enable faster and more reliable software delivery.

  • Monitor platform health, performance, and security, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.

  • Collaborate with software engineers to optimise application deployment, scalability, and resilience.

  • Implement cloud security best practices, identity management, and compliance controls.

  • Support incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Drive infrastructure standardisation, automation, and operational excellence across engineering teams.

  • Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to the long-term cloud strategy.

  • Mentor colleagues and promote cloud and DevOps best practices across the organisation.

What You Bring

  • Strong experience working with public cloud platforms, preferably AWS and Azure. Experience with both AWS and Azure is preferred.

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.

  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.

  • Strong knowledge of containerisation technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or Amazon ECS.

  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar.

  • Good understanding of networking, security, IAM, and cloud architecture principles.

  • Experience administering Linux-based systems.

  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.

  • Experience supporting production SaaS environments with high availability and reliability requirements.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for automation and continuous improvement.

  • Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have

  • AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, DevOps Engineer, or similar).

  • Experience with serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda.

  • Experience implementing security and compliance frameworks.

  • Knowledge of cost optimisation and FinOps practices.

  • Experience working within Agile engineering teams.
