You will analyse and monitor portfolio performance through financial and impact KPIs, transform complex data into meaningful insights, and identify trends that support evidence-based decision-making. Working closely with Investment Managers and the Management Team of IDH Investment Management, you will contribute to portfolio reviews and provide analysis and recommendations that inform investment decisions and support IDH Farmfit Fund's overall investment strategy.

Your role.
As Portfolio Analyst, you will provide insights that help strengthen IDH Farmfit Fund's investment portfolio and maximise its impact. You will analyse and monitor portfolio performance through financial and impact KPIs, transform complex data into meaningful insights, and identify trends that support evidence-based decision-making. Working closely with Investment Managers and the Management Team of IDH Investment Management, you will contribute to portfolio reviews and provide analysis and recommendations that inform investment decisions and support IDH Farmfit Fund's overall investment strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, process and curate portfolio and pipeline data (financial and non-financial).
- Prepare and present detailed (management) reports on portfolio performance and pipeline data, including risk metrics and compliance with investment guidelines.
- Provide insights and explanations on portfolio performance, pipeline management and investment decisions to the Management Team of IDH Investment Management.
- Coordinate and support the investment managers with the receipt and quality control of the Investee reporting, including in monitoring investee performance, in terms of KPIs (M&E) and general progress reporting, including periodic review of investee reports to analyse investee performance against targets and ensure high quality investee/KPI reporting.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of risk management practices and investment processes.
- Assist in preparing stakeholder-facing materials, including portfolio performance reports and pipeline strategy updates.
- Coordinate, draft and support the Annual Plans and the Annual Reports.
- Coordinate and collect data regarding the reporting cycle to external stakeholders, e.g. IATI, OECD, SFDR.
- Develop and maintain software systems (Monday.com, Power BI).

- Have a strong analytical mindset and are comfortable translating data into actionable insights.
- Understand, or are keen to learn, impact measurement methodologies and how they support investment decision-making.
- Are highly organised, able to prioritise effectively, and manage multiple workstreams independently.
- Continuously look for opportunities to improve monitoring, evaluation, and reporting methodologies.
- Build collaborative relationships with colleagues and external partners, communicating insights clearly and working effectively across teams.
What you bring:
- Master’s-level in finance, economics or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience, preferably in an investment or challenging business environment.
- Strong (quantitative) analytical and communication skills both written and verbal in English.
- Experience in structuring and analysing data and distilling insights in a clear manner, preferably in an investment environment.
- Advanced Microsoft Office Experience (PowerPoint, Excel and Power BI) and portfolio management tools.
- Knowledge of- and experience in collating and delivering presentations.

A challenging, pivotal role within an impacting, international organisation – and:
- A salary range between EUR 3,704 - 6,043 (excluding 8% holiday allowance) per month (based on a 40-hour work week), job level 15. The job level is evaluated based on IDH’s methodology; the successful candidate will be placed within the range depending on relevant work experience. The selection process is conducted, applying STAR interview methodology.
- A full-time (40 hours) 1 year contract initially, with the intention to extend (as this is a permanent position).
