What Drives Success
Under limited supervision, performs all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction. Conducts regular audits to ensure that systems are being operated securely, and information systems security policies and procedures are being implemented as defined in security plans. Develops, tests, and operates firewalls, intrusion detection systems, enterprise anti-virus systems software deployment tools, or ERP application security. Safeguards the network against unauthorized infiltration, modification, destruction or disclosure. Researches, evaluates, tests, recommends, communicates and implements new security software or devices. Implements, enforces, communicates and develops security policies or plans for data, software applications, hardware, telecommunications and information systems security education/awareness programs. Conducts investigations of computer security violations and incidents, reporting as necessary to management. Responds to queries and requests for computer security information and reports. Interfaces with user community to understand their security needs and implements procedures to accommodate them.
What We Are Looking For
Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires at least 5 years related experience. Able to develop IT security standards and procedures. Knows and understands information technology industry trends and emerging technologies and shows an ability to relate them to the company and its objectives. Must have excellent written and verbal skills. Requires the ability to recognize ways to improve IT security. May require familiarity with domain structures, user authentication, and digital signatures. May require understanding of firewall theory and configuration. Must be able to weigh business needs against security concerns and articulate issues to management.
