Sourcing Operations Specialist II

Purpose Statement: Negotiate lowest total cost of ownership supply side component contracts for assigned commodities. Support sites in achieving customer satisfaction with associated cost, quality, delivery, and working capital.

Key Job Accountabilities:

  • Prepare and execute RFQs: Contribute to the Global & Regional Request for Quote (RFQ) Process, including quoting and repricing efforts, to contribute to cost reduction with a focus on lowest total cost.
  • Deliver site material escalation support through the parts expediting process (Plexpedite). Take swift action on part shortages so our manufacturing sites have the right parts to meet our customers’ needs.
  • Perform Plexus agreement loading, review, and maintenance to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Maintain data integrity by being detail oriented and tech savvy. Ensure clean data management to safeguard the operational metrics, which allow for quality decision making and management.
  • Optimize business processes with a LEAN mindset and an eye for continuous improvement. Drive out waste and downtime from sourcing tools, processes and systems to increase team productivity and value.

Education/Experience Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 2 or more years of related experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.

  • Procurement, supply chain, distribution, and logistics competence
  • Strong experience driving KPIs
  • Demonstrated commodity management expertise
  • Ability to communicate at all levels within an organization
  • Strong data analysis and Decision-making capabilities
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Project management experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Professional office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and low noise level. May require prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, using a computer, and other office equipment. Minimal physical activity is generally involved, emphasizing the importance of good posture and ergonomic workplace arrangements.

Travel Requirements:

  • Less than 40%
