Specialist, Trader Electronic Communications – ToS - International Client Services (Mandarin/Cantonese)

This position involves working in a team environment to directly service the firm's most valuable, sophisticated retail active trader clients in a fast-paced, market-sensitive environment via electronic communication, including email, chat, and social media. The role requires the ability to multitask and think critically to solve problems expeditiously, while building deeper relationships to better understand client needs.
In addition to supporting active trader clients, this role may assist International Client Services clients by providing exceptional service to globally based investors, addressing cross-border account inquiries, navigating international trading considerations, and delivering education on Schwab's products, services, and trading platforms. Associates must demonstrate cultural
awareness, adaptability, and the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to a diverse client base.
This industry professional-level specialist role includes order entry, software tutorials, client and firm risk analysis and management, client mentorship through education on complex derivatives trading strategies and products, troubleshooting technology issues, and gathering assets through negotiation, empowerment, education, and cross-sell opportunities. Associates may also collaborate with International Client Services partners to support client onboarding, account maintenance, trading inquiries, and service solutions for clients residing outside the United States.
The goal is to help develop clients into more successful traders while growing their portfolios by providing industry knowledge, education, and support of the tools these actively engaged clients use to become more sophisticated, successful self-directed investors. Associates in this position will possess a superior level of expertise in equities, options, futures, and risk, along with a general knowledge of foreign exchange trading. They will serve as a resource not only for clients, but also within Retail Trading, Retail Sales, Investor Services, Retail Support, Marketing, and International Client Services organizations.
What you have
Required qualifications
- One to two years of experience in trading and financial services.
- In addition to English, must be able to read, write, and speak in Mandarin and/or Cantonese.
- Series 7 & 63 licenses required OR a condition of employment to successfully obtain these licenses within the allotted training time.
- Well-developed and effective communication skills to establish trust and rapport with clients through both verbal and written communication
- General knowledge of the securities industry
- Available to work in a structured schedule and adhere to assigned schedule including lunch and break time as pre-determined by business need.
- Positive attitude, enthusiasm, professionalism, and strong work ethic with high level of integrity and ethics.
- Willingness and desire to learn in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
Preferred
- Four year college degree
- Three to five years of experience in trading and financial services
- Online brokerage experience
- Possess an Advanced level of knowledge of Equity Trading, Equity & Index Options, Reg T Margin, Intraday Margin, Thinkorswim trading platforms on website, desktop and mobile app
- Possess a Proficient level of knowledge of: Complex Options, Greeks, Technical Analysis, Futures, Forex, Portfolio Management
- Possess an Introductory level of knowledge of: Options on Futures, Portfolio Margin
