Purpose
· Under the direction of the General Manager, this individual will be responsible for the leadership and commercial success of the Haematology/Oncology business unit.
· The individual will oversee and lead the development and execution of the Innovative Medicines strategic business plan including the integrated functions
· As a member of the UKI leadership team, the individual is expected to operate in close coordination and collaboration with her/his peers at the local level as well as with partners in the WW organisation and across Major Markets
· Whilst the primary focus will be on the execution of the current portfolio strategy, the individual will also be responsible for steering the follow-on Innovative Medicines pipeline. The role is a key leadership role in the further transformation of the UK/Ireland Innovative Medicines business by managing a broad highly innovative product portfolio

Role and Responsibilities:
· Successfully implement the New Commercialization Model for the BU in alignment with the country PMO
· Develop, implement and maintain marketing, sales and access strategies and tactics for Innovative Medicines portfolio (including new indications) to meet the organisational objectives.
· Collaborate closely with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Corporate Affairs, Regulatory, BIA and other functions for the overall brand strategies and tactics for Innovative Medicines portfolio.
· Lead cross-functional team to drive execution of the complex multi-product and indication portfolio strategy, for in-line and future launch indications across the Innovative Medicines pipeline
· Develop and deliver national patient and sales forecast/budget targets of Innovative Medicines product portfolio; monitor and report deviations and implement corrective and actions if appropriate.
· Manage the Innovative Medicines Business Unit Sales & Expense Budget and overall P&L. Deliver all marketing and sales activities within the agreed budget.
· Lead collaborative efforts with the international/global teams to develop & execute the overall brand strategies and operating plans – including Omnichannel - for Innovative Medicines portfolio
· Manage the critical linkage between late-stage development, commercial planning, launch management, on-going sales support and marketing. Utilize effective life cycle management, including further indications and brand protection strategies. Maximize the commercial potential of our assets through the development and implementation of strategic marketing plans in collaboration with global marketing and other partners where relevant.
· Partner with Medical Affairs on key projects, meetings and congresses
· Initiate and evaluate customer research (market research), market conditions, competitor data and implement marketing plan changes as needed.
· Establish strong relationships with external bodies (Payers, Patient Associations, KOLs, Brand advocates, etc.)
· Ensure ongoing efforts to maximize Field Force Effectiveness and Customer Experience
· Foster an environment of strong collaboration across the local and global organization, ensuring a unified approach and balancing the needs of the local Innovative Medicines organization with those of the broader corporate objectives.
· Serve as point person responsible for managing and optimizing local partnerships and provide commercial input for business development opportunities
· Foster a leadership culture, which attracts, develop and retains high caliber candidates; build and shape a marketing and sales talent pool that drives the future success of the organisation.
· Ensure that all business activities are in line with company policies and procedures and use good compliance as business enabler.

· Serve as a key contributor to the UK & Ireland Leadership team and have a significant impact beyond defined role which pushes the enterprise forward; Able to represent the company internally and externally outside of own BU; share best practices across BUs and affiliate; Lead cross functional/cross BU initiatives at the local level; Advise the GM on affiliate issue.
Role Qualifications:
· Master Degree or MBA preferred.
· 10+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience (background in Innovative Medicines/Immunology preferred).
· Fluent English required.
· Functional: Marketing, Sales and exposure to working in Market Access.
· Financial: Working with or managing a P&L .
· Leadership: Successful experience in working in a highly matrixed commercial environment.
· In-depth knowledge of sales, marketing and business processes in the pharmaceutical industry and ability to analyze complex business issues.
· Leadership experience in selecting, leading, developing, motivating and achieving results through teams.
· Mastery in setting development plans (internal/external new product development), commercialization (marketing, sales and market research) and life cycle management processes.
· Demonstrated use of communication and change management strategies/tactics to influence new ways of thinking and working.
