Role Purpose
To be responsible for the installation, configuration, migration, performance monitoring, security, troubleshooting, as well as backup and data recovery. Also be involved in the troubleshooting of any issues.
Role Profile
- Responsible for maintaining the physical database design, security enforcement, and database performance plan.
- Implement the proper disaster recovery plans for the databases
- Maintains database performance by calculating optimum values for database parameters; implementing new releases; Completing maintenance requirements;
- Control, monitor & audit the user access level for each segment in the database
- Responsible for backup and recovery of the databases and ensure the backup and restore validity, Maintaining archived data
Competencies and Qualifications
- Dedication, sense of ownership, and ability to work within a team
- Innovative & creative thinking for new solutions, technologies and data protection
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and analytical skills.
- The ability to work quickly, under pressure and to deadlines cross the function groups
- Eye for detail and accuracy.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 1 years database working experience in managing databases
- Preferable to have technical certificates in Oracle or other databases software
Good knowledge of relational/non-relational database management systems
