Staff Software Engineer, Platform (Enterprise)
Staff Software Engineer, Platform (Enterprise)
London | Full-time | On-site
TL;DR
We're looking for a Staff Software Engineer to help define the future of Lovable Enterprise.
Some of the world's largest companies are already building with Lovable. Now we're building the platform that allows them to deploy Lovable securely, reliably, and on their own terms.
How do you let an enterprise customer deploy Lovable inside their own cloud without slowing product development? How do you build a platform that works seamlessly across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud without compromising security or developer experience? Those are the kinds of problems you'll solve.
You'll define the technical direction for the platform that powers Lovable Enterprise—from cloud architecture and sandboxing to networking, encryption, and identity.
Why Lovable?
Lovable lets anyone and everyone build software using natural language. From solopreneurs to Fortune 100 companies, millions of people use Lovable to transform raw ideas into real products—fast.
We're at the forefront of a fundamental shift in software creation. Our enterprise business is growing rapidly, giving you the opportunity to shape infrastructure that global organizations will rely on for years to come.
We're a small, talent-dense team that values extreme ownership, high velocity, and low-ego collaboration.
Why join now?
Very few engineering roles offer this level of ownership.
You'll help define a platform rather than inherit one. Many of the hardest architectural decisions haven't been made yet, giving you the opportunity to shape the foundation of Lovable Enterprise alongside engineering leadership.
Whether you've been a Staff Engineer, Principal Engineer, founding engineer, or CTO, we're looking for someone who's already operated with this level of ownership—and wants to do it again on an even bigger stage.
What we're looking for
We're looking for a Staff-level (or equivalent) software engineer with deep platform and infrastructure experience and a track record of setting technical direction.
You'll likely have:
Experience architecting platform or infrastructure systems that have scaled in production.
Experience building enterprise products and working with enterprise customers.
Deep expertise across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Experience designing distributed systems used across multiple teams.
Strong programming skills in Go, Rust, Java, C++, or similar.
Experience building secure, reliable systems operating under demanding production workloads.
Experience operating at Staff, Principal, founding engineer, or CTO-level scope.
A product mindset—you care about the people using the systems you build, not just the systems themselves.
We're less interested in traditional DevOps backgrounds and more interested in engineers who enjoy building software that powers infrastructure.
What you'll do
In one sentence:
Define the technical direction for the platform that enables enterprise customers to run Lovable securely and at scale.
You'll spend your time building software, making architectural decisions, mentoring engineers, and working directly with customers to solve problems that don't have established playbooks.
Examples include:
Define the architecture for enterprise deployments across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
Build cloud-agnostic systems that give customers flexibility in how they deploy Lovable.
Design secure sandboxing and runtime environments.
Set the technical bar for networking, encryption, identity, and enterprise infrastructure.
Build the internal platform that enables engineering teams to ship faster.
Mentor engineers and raise the engineering bar across the organization.
Partner directly with enterprise customers and cloud providers on complex infrastructure challenges.
Our tech stack
We're building with tools that both humans and AI love.
Languages: Go, Rust, TypeScript
Cloud: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Cloudflare
Infrastructure: Kubernetes, Terraform, Temporal, OTEL, CI/CD
Data: PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, Firestore, Spanner, BigQuery
We're always looking for better tools and better ways of building software. At this level, we're looking for someone with strong technical opinions who enjoys shaping how great engineering gets done.
