Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our Platform and Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will be able to understand a breadth of cloud infrastructure, including networking paradigms, database maintenance, Kubernetes functionality, and more. They will be responsible for designing and maintaining of our Azure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code in Terraform and Helm, monitoring with Datadog and other tools to ensure uptime, as well as helping debug complex distributed systems. They will work with a worldwide team of engineers striving for the highest levels of uptime. As such, the candidate should be comfortable being part of an on-call schedule in 1-week intervals.
This position is remote, but an ideal candidate is in common US time zones.
Job Duties
- Design and maintain cloud services using Terraform and Helm, primarily in Azure Cloud Services
- Create and tune dashboards and monitors using Datadog
- Develop automated processes for deployment and maintenance tasks
- Rotational on-call availability for hours between 8AM and 12AM CST
Work Experience
- Deploying and maintaining complex service infrastructure in Kubernetes
- Experience with a major cloud infrastructure provider (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code in Terraform and Helm
- Some experience writing and maintaining code in Python or another high-level language
Certifications and Education
- BS in Software Engineering or Related Field is preferred, but not required
