Transportation Assoc Analyst, Parcel Operations
About the Role
This role supports parcel cost performance across the Gap Inc. North American market, consisting of inbound returns and outbound from both DCs and Stores. Success will require a strong ability to process and present data, function technically with system products, as well as internal responsibilities for cross-functional operations and monitoring carrier performance. You must understand the role of our various systems (OMS, WMS, TMS, Shipping Operations, etc.), gain maximum data leverage, and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.What You'll Do
What You'll Do
Support of parcel operational shipping policies through expertise of shipping processes, sourcing points, and distribution network optimization
Contribute to carrier performance reviews – to ensure operational excellence
Carrier account management – logins, assignments, and usage while reconciling unknown charges.
Systems maintenance, configuration, and performance monitoring
Project manage improvement initiatives and strategic projects aimed at parcel cost reduction and operations
Build and model scenarios in conjunction with finance and key business partners to ensure cost predictability
Provide parcel data inputs to cross-functional projects and programs
Develop strong relationships with internal business partners and external suppliers
Backup responsibilities for other positions on the team for business continuity coverage
Who You Are
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
1-3 years transportation, supply chain operations, or analytics and network modeling (retail industry preferred)
Highly analytical; proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and familiarity with data visualization tools
Understanding of parcel operations, costing, systems, financials, and contracts
Curiosity and self-starter mentality with aptitude to uncover hidden cost opportunities within large data sets
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written are required

Who You Are
Bachelor's degree required. Masters or equivalent preferred
1 - 3 years transportation, supply chain operations, or statistical analytics and network modeling (retail industry preferred)
Highly analytical; proficient in MS Office and data visualization tools
Familiarity with OMS, WMS and TMS operating systems
Understanding of parcel operations, costing, systems, financials, and contracts
Curiosity and self-starter mentality with aptitude to uncover hidden cost opportunities within large data sets
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written are required

Travel Requirement – Less than 10%
