Complies with company guidelines to minimize AR risk, maximize sales opportunities. Manage a team, responsible for collection of all AR in assigned portfolio. Identify areas of risk and propose potential solutions.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Managing AR portfolio and Related Processes within Samsung policies and Customer requirements
  • Consistent review with team members of all accounts within the established portfolio to ensure accurate data and timely follow-up/escalation   
  • Collaborate with customers on collection issues throughout the team, resolve problem accounts and make recommendations regarding collection status or legal status.
  • Manage designated staff, including training, key performance indicators, workload balancing, and performance reviews
  • Motivate and mentor staff
  • Maintain accurate customer profiles, ensure team members are cross trained to ensure high standards of coverage within the team while members are out.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure AR is current and issues are being addressed, escalated and resolved.  Identify matters that need to be escalated to upper management in clear and concise manner.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to drive process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Develop and provide various analyses and reporting, utilizing SAP, Excel, Tableau, PowerPoint and other programs as needed
  • Keep department Leadership advised on issues and potential issues
  • Collaborate with department peers to establish additional Best Practices and make recommendations for change
  • Lead invoice discrepancy resolution of with customers, logistics, service and other partners where applicable
  • Develop working relationships with all necessary internal and external teams to resolve customer issues to ensure accurate and current AR.
  • Maintain Global Policy and Procedures
  • Maintain and provide necessary back-up for internal and external process audits
  • Ad-Hoc special projects and assign projects to team members

Skills and Qualifications

Background/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems
  • 6-8 years related experience
  • Prior Team Leadership experience
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP system preferred

  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to identify discrepancies and inconsistencies
  • Strong attention to details is of paramount importance in this role
  • Diplomacy and ability to deal with difficult situations
  • Excellent Oral & Written Communication Skills
  • Solid Microsoft Office skills (Word & Excel) V-lookup and Pivot tables (Macros a+)
  • AI tool implementation and usage skills in the job function preferred
  • Attitude towards work and timeliness in completing daily tasks
  • Sense of urgency to get it done required Relationship Management
  • Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment
