CHI St. Alexius Health is a regional health network with a tertiary hospital in Bismarck, the system also consists of critical access hospitals (CAHs) in Carrington, Dickinson, Devils Lake, Garrison, Turtle Lake, Washburn and Williston and numerous clinics and outpatient services. CHI St. Alexius Health manages four CAHs in North Dakota - Elgin, Linton, and Wishek, as well as Mobridge Regional Medical Center in Mobridge, S.D. Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Clinic Receptionist, you will help greet guests by being patient centered thriving on providing top notch customer service so everyone feels welcome and helped. Every day you will will be responsible for performing a variety of general administrative support duties associated with the patient intake process and performs routine duties within the clinic. To be successful in this role you must be patient centered and detail orientated.
Responsibilities:
- Patient Intake & Check-Out: Manage the full patient lifecycle, including efficient check-in/check-out, notifying clinical staff of arrivals, and providing updates on potential appointment delays
- Documentation & Record Management: Maintain accurate electronic medical records by scanning identification, insurance, and referral documents, and preparing comprehensive charts for daily appointments
- Financial Administration: Collect copays and deductibles at the time of service, perform daily cash drawer reconciliation, and ensure all financial transactions are processed accurately
- Scheduling & Communication: Handle incoming phone calls, schedule patient appointments, confirm next-day visits, and conduct follow-ups regarding "no-show" policies
- Front-Office Operations: Manage office mail, monitor inventory, order supplies, and ensure all admitting processes remain in compliance with clinic and regulatory policies
- Data Integrity: Verify and update patient and insurance information to ensure administrative efficiency and adherence to office guidelines
