Mission Statement
You will be accountable for obtaining goods/services required by the organization including Indirect Operations (e.g., Office Supplies, Computers, Travel, Maintenance, Machine Parts, etc.). Direct Operations (e.g., Raw Materials and Services for Manufacturing, Production or Construction; Products for Retail, etc.) Procurement processes include Product/Service Sourcing. Supplier Selection. Pricing/Terms Negotiation. Order Processing. Contract Administration. Supplier Performance Management. May include Strategic Sourcing.
How You’ll make an impact
- Develop and execute sourcing and supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives, ensuring achievement of cost, spend, quality, delivery, and productivity targets.
- Drive SCM performance through KPI management, long-term planning, monthly performance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives across multiple operating units.
- Standardize and optimize end-to-end supply chain processes across design, tendering, project execution, and after-sales service in line with global SCM frameworks.
- Lead the adoption and effective utilization of SCM systems and digital tools (e.g., SAP Ariba, S4HANA, Project Procure) to enhance efficiency, compliance, and supply chain visibility.
- Implement category and project sourcing strategies, ensuring supplier capability, capacity, competitiveness, and alignment with business and project requirements.
- Oversee procurement governance, supplier performance, risk management, and issue resolution to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Manage Trade, Transport & Logistics, supplier quality, sustainability compliance, cybersecurity, and supply chain risk programs to support operational excellence.
- Build and maintain strategic supplier partnerships, negotiate commercial agreements, establish framework contracts, and leverage global sourcing networks to maximize value.
- Lead, develop, and mentor SCM teams, ensuring effective workforce planning, capability development, talent management, succession planning, and a culture of continuous improvement.
Your Background
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Business, Commerce, Operations Management, or a related discipline; postgraduate qualifications are advantageous.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
- Proven experience leading supply chain functions within industrial manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, electrical equipment, engineering, or project-based environments.
- Strong expertise in strategic sourcing, category management, supplier negotiations, contract management, and supplier relationship development.
- Demonstrated success delivering cost reduction, productivity improvement, working capital optimization, and supply chain performance targets.
- Experience managing complex project procurement and supply chain activities across tendering, execution, logistics, and after-sales/service operations.
- Solid understanding of logistics, trade compliance, supplier quality management, supply chain risk management, sustainability, and governance frameworks.
- Proficiency with ERP and procurement platforms such as SAP, SAP Ariba, S/4HANA, or equivalent digital supply chain systems.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, people leadership, and change management skills, with experience leading cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.
